One more day of clean out

Today I cleaned out drawers and the closet. I couldn't believe the stuff I still had.
Some stuff was from when I worked that was 2007. I filled 2 large trash bags with stuff and took it right down to the Big Brother, Big Sister donation center. I am sure I can still find more stuff to donate. But at least its a start.

I need to buy some toys for the Christmas box and some food for the food box. We haven't been told yet how many families are in need , but I'm sure its plenty.
If any of my friends here can give just a little something it will help so much. Most Fire Dept. collect things for the needy.

It was another beautiful day here. The sun was shining and lots of people were out walking and talking to each other.
Fred met another doxy today. She was a sweet little girl with long hair. We had heard about her but never met them. Her mom said she heard a lot about Fred too. Sasha is also a rescue. And there is another dog in their family but I didn't get her name. All the pups got along just fine. :}.

Well one more day before the big eating party. I have to bake a cake for my grand daughter who's b-day was yesterday. I'll make it in a foil pan so they can take it home. If there is any left.

Hope you all are finished shopping now and won't have to get into the rush tomorrow.

  3. Hi John,
Yes once you get started its a go. Thanks for the encouraging words.
Thanks for coming by today or last night I should say.

    Hello TexCyn,
Yes when you have no where to put your cloths and you really don't have much to wear then there must be a problem some place. LOL
    Thanks for stopping by.

  4. I usually bake in a disposable foil pan too. I've lost too many good pans going to potlucks, etc. But then again, when we used to have large (75-125 people) picnics at the house each summer, I gained a lot too!

How nice the pups immediately get along and make friends.

  5. Been doing the purging but in my kitchen. lol.
Every year i donate a little money to my son, knowing he knows all the needy ones, and it will be well spent, every penny on the kids. Or maybe in some cases a whole family.

  6. Hi Phyllis,
Well I realized to late the pan was to big. WhenI looked for my round cake pans they were no where to be found. Guess they got borrowed and now live in some elses kitchen. So I had to use pie pans. Oh well at least she is getting her cake even if it looks a little like a mushroom. LOL
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

    Hey Trouble,
The list gets longer every year of families who can't give their kids a Christmas it is very sad. I remember raising my 4 kids on my own with a dead beat dad. I couldn't do much. So know I do what I can for those less fortunate.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
