Tour De Tucson

Today we went to a Craft Show and it was the bike race today also. There was to be thousands of riders. I had to take this through the windshield as they were moving pretty fast. We are on our way to the Craft Show

This was going in the same direction as the bikes on our way home from the Craft Show. I bet this was about a mile long. I guess Lois timed are departure from home at the right time and we headed back home at the right time.

I loved this mans work and was very tempted. His prices were so reasonable it was hard not to buy these pieces. I know I will regret it. I was looking at the dancer to the right of the top picture with the feathers and the sitting Kokapelli on the bottom picture
But the Tucson 4th Avenue Street Fair is coming up on Dec. 9-11 and I know I will find things there. Not like this but hopefully some pottery dinnerware to add to my set.

I wish I would have brought the Canon along to get a better shot at these mountains. I love the jagged peaks. These are the Catalina Mountains.

The day started out warm and partly cloudy. While we were at the Craft Show it started to get chilly. We stopped at a few 2nd hand stores on the way back to town and by then it was mostly cloudy and breezy. We stopped and had lunch and then headed home. By time we got back here it turned really nasty. Then it all calmed down but was very cloudy the rest of the day. But all in all we had a fun day as we always do.
Hope you all had a good day.

  1. I have to pass on some things I see when shopping, as I don't have the space now. I still go shopping though, I just look for small, non-breakable items to decorate my RV.

  2. Craft shows are tempting, but my rule is if I buy something I've go to dispose of something else. That's the only way I can manage Mel's space.

  4. Hi Teri,
I know its hard. I have so much stuff as it is. I have beautiful paintings my Dad did and so my walls are pretty full already. And as you said the RV sure doesn't have much wall space and the Tin Can Cabin is full of my photo's.
I'm happy to see you stopped by my place. Thanks for coming. Hope to see you in Tucson if you come.

Hello John, Yes getting rid of stuff has to start soon. But to part with some things is so hard. But I must.
    Thanks for coming.

Welcome to my humble blog Carmen,

They are made of copper, some have feathers and some have turquoise. The prices were so cheap I couldn't believe it.The dancer was $59. and about 2 1/2 feet tall, the sitting Kokopeli was $20. He has a web site if you wish I can get it off my friend.

    Thank you for coming by.

  6. Hi Jim,
Christmas presents for me. LOL It was nice to get out and walk around. My freind also knows all these really nice 2nd hand store that are so clean and present their goods. It was fun and I bought stuff there but.

I love the mountains to but only in the winter.

    Thanks for coming by today.

  7. Oh craft shows are fun! I like the copper art too. A few weeks ago, we had a bike race thingy. It was called Tour De Donut. I wished I had taken a photo, but didn't think to do so at the time. When I got home, I googled it & it's a spoof of Tour De France, but at checkpoints, they have to eat a donut for extra points. Too funny! I think it was a 13 mile ride.

  8. Hi TexCyn,
That is funny. The race you saw sounds like more fun and less serious than this one. This race is over 100 miles I think about 140 maybe. These guys are serious. But I know the people in this town really hate these races and the picture of the traffic jam shows you why.

I'm glad you were able to leave a comment finally. Thanks for coming by for a read.
