Bought my Turkey

I did not want to go shopping today. But then realized this Thursday is Thanksgiving. So
off I went to Wally's. I found a nice 11 lb guy since there won't be many at all. Picked up
some other things and decided I should really look into a new phone. I didn't want or need
all that fancy stuff. But I did want a phone that would pick up towers just about anywhere I
went. I got an OK phone for $70. I asked the guy if he would take care of everything and
he said yes. I left him my old phone and continued to shop. I picked up the phone and
headed home. I wanted to call my daughter to let her know I picked up some items for the
baby. No numbers were in the phone. Oh great. So I got that done and it took me about
45 min. I figured out a few things but there is more to learn. I really am not into all this
tech stuff. Plain and simply is good for me.

Put away the groceries and a few other items and it was time to go over to my sister's house
and meet up with a few others there.

My day was spent by time I got home and walked Fred.

Did a load of laundry and that was it.

Hope you all have a pleasant weekend.

Good Night All

  2. Good morning John,
When buying smaller you can usually find one pretty easy. I hope to enjoy good stuff.

  3. You're always on the move, Jo! My daughter makes Thanksgiving dinner so I only have to make a couple of sides. Wishing you and Fred a very happy turkey day!

  4. Hello hobopals,
yes I seem to be on the run all the time lately. I guess thats a good thing. But some times I just wish I wasn't so busy. I am way behind on lap robes for the Va and now the adopt a family. I have plenty hats and scarves but not blankets. The holidays have really crept up on my this year.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too.

  5. I've been to grocery story twice already today. They have turkeys on sale but only one with a order of at least $25. I need THREE. We will be feeding boys from our local Ranch Hope for Boys. About 40 kids. We made the mistake of showing back up here and was asked to please do this again this year at our church. Previous years it was along with the pastor and wife. They were transferred so it's Len and me. Hope your Thanksgiving is blessed.

  6. Hope you got everything for a happy turkey day!

Guess we will have a crowd at Mom's house. That's when a LOT of freeloaders show up! Free food seems to bring them out!

    Have a great day, sweetie!

  7. Hello Phyllis,
Aren't there other volunteers to help you out? It's sad if no one esle comes to help. Maybe some of those boys have a talent for cooking.
Good luck and yes they get you with that $25. or more to get the cheap price. I paid .88 per pound at Walmart.

    Hi Jim,
Maybe you should send out a note card telling the worst of the free loaders what to bring.

Thanks for stopping by today and you have a great day too my special friend.
