Got Things Done Around

Yesterday I decided it was time to get things cleaned up around the yard.

So this morning I got started.  Years ago I had bought  a rubber maid corner cabinet for the porch. Somewhere along the way it wound up off the porch and down in the yard. I needed it back up on the porch so I could store plant food, a bag of dirt and the covers for the chairs. So I got out the scrub brush and went to town cleaning up. I took the doors off and the top pieces so I could lift it up onto the porch and dried it up. I put it all back together but one door would  always fall off. So I checked it out and realized the  bottom hole for the nipple on the door was to deep. I found a small piece of plastic and put it in there. Walla door fixed.

Next was to rake up the yard , the guy next door has a tree that really makes a mess. Then bagged it all up and pulled it around the house for garbage day.

I cooked some peppers and onions up to keep on hand in the freezer.

I was watering the indoor plants today and found this flower.

A Christmas Flower for Easter!

BBQ'd  a small steak it was  perfect for me. Hope you all had a wonderful day.

Good Night All

  2. Years ago I had a Christmas cactus that bloomed all year around! No one could believe it, but it did and was lovely. I probably lost it in a move, but one of these days I think I will get another one.

  3. Sounds like you are getting very spiffy at your place Jo. As soon as I recover from the trip Saturday I am catching fire and working on a bunch of projects that are haunting me.

A neighbor gave me a Christmas cactus last year and I have always wanted one. :-) So far I haven't murdered it and keep looking for a flower...maybe one day?

  4. Good morning John,

Small fixes are still easy. I used to be able to do lots of things I like being able to fix my own stuff.

    Hi Gypsy,

This one blooms quite often but since I re potted it I didn't think it would bloom so soon after. It seems to really like the south window.

    Hi JMD,

Since I don't know how much traveling I will do this summer I might as well get it fixed up so I could enjoy it. Or if I leave at least it's cleaned up until I get back.

  5. Jo, if you ever run out of things to do, give me a call. I can help you out! Takes me so long to do anything these days. I bet Fred is like Jack—he rests while you work.:)

I figured I better get it done before the heat gets to bad and it sure is on its way too. going to do some things this morning as it should be in the mid 90's today.

Yes for the most park he just lays in the sun until he is well done then gets under my feet for awhile and then goes back and lays down some more.
