104 degree's

I did manage to sit out until about 9:30 this morning before the heat drove me inside. And I was using the fan out there too.

I had to caulk the bottom of the shower door frame today. Not bad for being done when I first moved here 14 yrs. ago. But that took all of 5 min. and that included scrubbing the old off and making sure no soap scrum was there either.

I had bought a Butternut Squash the other day so I figured I better get it made. I sure didn't want to turn on the oven so I put it in a crock pot. It sure was yummy. Love Butternut Squash.

I then framed some of my bird pictures and a few flower ones. I need to go to a second hand store to get more frames. I have lots of rainbow shots I want to make a collage of so I need a bigger frame.

Walked over to my sister's house to visit with another neighbor over coffee.

Trying to keep busy is getting harder everyday. And tomorrows temps will be higher and each day higher still.

Good Night All

  1. I don't blame you for not wanting to do much in that kind of heat. It's much healthier if you take it easy when the heat rises.

  2. It's not to late....I say get out of Dodge. Escape while you can, head for the hills. It's way to hot for man or beast.

  3. As the heat rises the activity lessens. No activity around here.

  4. It's hard to get motivated in the heat. But you still managed to get some stuff done!

  5. Hello Gypsy,

    You are so right.

    Hi Karen,

I would be gone but this eye exam is very important so I must wait.

    Good Morning John,

I hear you I need to get off this computer and get out doors while it is still cool.

    Hi Cyn,

  6. I have a feeling that the Summer is going to be a hot one! The rain has made very humid already!

'Skeeters and hot weather...what a combination!

  7. Hi Jim,

I think so too Jim, I'm not a happy camper. I need to get out of here soon.

  8. Ugh...another 101 day, very HOT! I only made it to 3 stores and threw in the towel. We had two deer in our yard yesterday, unfortunately nibbling on our young plants. Sigh. Never ending battle.

  9. Hi JMD,

Its fun to see them but not fun when they eat your plants. I only was out when Fred needed out after 10 am
