We had quite a storm come through last night. Lots of thunder and lightening with really good downpours. The temps were down but boy the humidity was high.
Also had Javelin visitors and knocked over a plant that I have at the end of the carport. Made a nasty mess that I had to clean up this morning. But the plant lived and had minimal damage.
Debbie showed up around 11 am and we headed out to lunch. We stopped at Family Dollar store as I needed some small frames. Debbie had just been telling me about one the their stores and how they just had gotten some fines for over charging and no pricing of items. We found lots of this at the store near my house. Some items were very over priced compared to Walmart and the frames had different prices even though they were the same frames I didn't take any of them and only bought fabric softener. If I find out it cost more than Walmart I will return it.
Sharon, from tinycampers. blog was interested in the petrified wood so I will post more pictures
Can you make out the price on this piece Now that is something I can live without
Good Night All
Glad you're all right after the storm, Jo. The rock pictures are beautiful. How do you tell petrified wood from rock? $4800 ????
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love those nasty critters running through the neighborhood. At least they stay away during the day.
ReplyDeleteThe petrified wood is really beautiful. Thanks for posting the pictures.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteusually you can tell by looking at the outer edges. The bark doesn't is still very much in tact but hard as a rock. It is quite beautiful.
Good morning John,
They so nasty and stinky but yes glad hey keep away during the day. Now the Coyotes don't care and stroll around all day long.
Hi Gypsy,
Glad you enjoyed the pictures. It was hard to figure out the ones pick out of the many I took.
Jo, someone would have to offer me a lot more than that rock to pay a price like that! Whoa.
ReplyDeleteHi JMD,
ReplyDeleteNo kidding. I have to small pieces that I found at my dad's house when clearing it out. I have no idea where he found them.
It is pretty but wow---pricey!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS photos, Jo. Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteThe price is pretty hefty, but considering it took thousands of years to make, I guess it's not too bad. Definitely out of my price range, though!
very pretty! great pictures, Jo ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Sondra,
ReplyDeleteThat piece was polished and quite large. They have smaller ones but I didn't price them since I have 2 small ones I should take a picture of them.
Hi Sharon,
The only way I could afford that one is if they can catch my check as it bounced past them. Of course that would get me into jail for sure. LOL
Hi Carolyn,
Thank you.
