Baby It's Cold

We hit 35 last night and early this morning and the temp wasn't in much of a hurry to climb up either. I turned the heater on in the bathroom and got my cup of nice hot coffee and Fred and I headed for the computer room. Once the bathroom was nice and warm I took a shower and headed back to the computer room for a bit.

Headed out to get the last of the Xrays I needed and  came back home. But I didn't want to stay here so off I went to the Dollar Tree.  Picked up some snack bags and turkey roaster bag and a few other items. The store was packed and I couldn't wait to get out of there. I had to pick up a gift so went over to Kirkland's and found something.
I headed for home. I guess this is what it will be like from now until the holidays are over.

I should have stopped at Michael's too. Now I will have to go back tomorrow UCK

Good Night All

  1. 35 here too, way too early in the season for this nonsense.

  2. I live pretty far away from shopping, like 8 miles to the nearest gas station, 11 miles to retail stores....so I normally make one trip do it all...hate when I forget something cause it usually means I have wait for the next "shopping" day. We had a pretty cold night it was 35 when I got up at 7.

  3. I have notice that traffic is a bit heavier and more people in the stores. I plan on hunkering down and avoiding it as much as possible.

  4. Good morning John,

Yes it is and they said this was going to be the warmest winter on record. Don't think so. It's COLD!

    Hi Sondra,

I don't mind shopping in the fun stores but this time of year I don't find them to be much fun. Where I live used to be out of town and only a Circle K and one Chinese market now it feels like the heart of town and way to many stores.

    Hi JMD,

With it being winter we have lots more people in town and then the crowds from across the border come on buses. Even if you get to the stores as they open they are there.

  5. Jo, I know people laugh when you say 35 is cold, but if you are not used to it, it really is.

We are going down into the 30's in central Florida tonight, but it doesn't seem too cold to me. Of course, we have two adults and two dogs in a little Casita, so that helps, too.

Getting up out of a nice warm bed in the early morning and taking the dogs for a potty walk IS cold, though!
