Must Get Out

It was chilly today I don't think it went above 63 degrees. I know some of you are laughing because it is much colder other places.  I haven't had my furnace fired up yet. I left a message for the guy to call me to get it turned on.   But Fred and I hung out in the computer room with the little electric fire place most of the morning.

Did a few things around but not much. I had a pair of capri sweat pants that didn't have a pocket so I crochet a square and sewed it on so I can carry my phone around. Worked out pretty good. Cooked 2 chicken breast and a piece of salmon. I had the salmon tonight and put up the chicken breasts in the freezer for another time.

Tomorrow I will pick up my daughter Tracy and head out somewhere this staying home for 2 days is about to make me crazy.

Good Night All

  1. I hear you Jo, it managed a very weak 56 here today and we are going all the way to 28 tonite. Yikes! This is terrible.

I baked oatmeal raisin cookies to stay warm and made beef stroganoff. Hung on the oven with sweats and a sweatshirt on.

I should have hung out by your electric fireplace. :-D

  2. You're like me, anything below 70 is frigid. I think we've been in the south too long.

  3. Great idea to make a pocket for your phone.

  4. Hi JMD,

The best thing to do is cook or bake to keep the chill off. You can hang out at my fire place anytime, may get a little crowded in this room though LOL. Tried using it in the livingroom but the room is to big.

    Good morning John,

I think your right we have turned into winter wimps

    Hi Teri,

I have also made a pouch that I can pin on but it gets in the way this works better

  5. I have several pairs of sweat pants (women's) that have no pockets. Why is it that men's sweats have pockets and ours don't? I've thought about removing pockets from old sweats and inserting them in the new pants, but it's too much trouble so I don't always have my phone with me.

  6. Hi Gypsy,

Yes why is that! I just buy men's if I can't find women's with pockets. But capri sweats never seem to have pockets anymore. I have a few pair but they are so old they are getting holes in them now.

  7. Oh dear, we made it to low 60's today with a lower forecast for tonite. Keep the fireplace going!
