WINDY

A few times last night the wind actually woke me up. It continued all day long.

I new I had to go to the grocery store so off I went in a t-shirt and jeans. The weather has been that warm. Well it wasn't that warm today. I was freezing but didn't want to go back home to get a jacket.

By time I finished shopping the truck was nice and warm inside and it felt great.

I called another guy to come look at the repair work that needs to be done and he gave me an estimate on also painting the house. He came in $200. below the other guy and it still included the repair work. So I will have him do the entire job. He may take longer but that's OK.  I'll go buy the paint early next week.

I went to have coffee with my friend Rose and met her cousin who is in town visiting.

Good Night All

  1. My house really needs to be painted, but the cost would cut too deeply into my travels.

  2. I'm starting to think about all the work on the house waiting for me when I get home. I'd much rather just camp without thinking about all of it! :)

Glad you found someone to help you.

  3. We just got the painting job scheduled because apparently everyone wants their house painted now. Geesh, not cheap, I about fainted but it has to be done or the HOA will start fining us. :-( Apparently in 10 days or so they will start the painting.

  4. Hi Gypsy,

I understand hate to spend my travel money too, but it must get done.

    Hi Sharon,

Don't think about to much keep enjoying your trip it has been a wonderful adventure for you and hubby.

    Hi JMD,

I guess this is the time of year for painting houses. I know about some of the HOA's get to be a bit much with the bulling and fining to me that's not right. We have one here but they aren't like that. there is none of that fining stuff here. Some homes need to be painted really bad and are trying to work with the owners or their families to see what can be done. One person only painted the trim and it sure helped. I'm glad I called this other guy and got a much better deal.

  7. Jo, mini rant here, the workers that come to give us estimates tell us how much they get paid in Sedona! Huh? I tell them, does this look like Sedona? Why do you advertise here? Uphill battle. :-(

  8. Hi JMD,

Really does get annoying. They seem to charge by their work load, if they have lots of jobs they charge more, but when they are out of work they will take what they can get. That's why my neighbor only paid $400. and she has a huge place but he was desperate for work. He tried to deny it but she showed me her receipt. Jerk.
