One More Down

Back was better after I did some moving around slowly for a while. It reminded me every so often not to push it.

I did a clean out of my closet today so I need to do a drop off at Big Brothers, Big Sister soon.

Made the reservations for Fool Hollow Lake today. YIPPEE! We will be there from 6/14 until 6/17 and see where we go from there. Don't know how long the others are staying up on the Mountain. Don't know how long I will stay up there either. Time  can only tell how it works out. I still need to gather all the camping gear into one spot so I just can grab and load up on Sat. and hope to pull out by 5:30 - 6 am on that Sunday.

Tomorrow I have my follow up at the eye Dr. and then I will go to camping world to check out inverter. I know I can get them really cheap online but then I wouldn't know how to install it anyway.

Hope you all had a safe and wonderful long weekend.

Good Night All

  1. Be careful of the brand they carry. I didn't hardly use my pure sine inverter and it died. At $175 I expected it to last longer. It also did not come ready to install. An online fuse had to be installed which I did not know until AFTER It was bought. Instalation was simple, just slip over battery terminals. And plug in Computer.

  3. I agree with you that for a lot of us it is easier to have something installed properly than to fool around with trying to do it ourselves at a lower price. Some things are worth paying a bit more money for. Good luck.

  4. I wish I had invested some time in getting a solar set up of some kind in place! Im planning a trip to the Outer Banks 3rd week of June there are 4 NPS campgrounds none have hook ups! So it will be a little roughing it... this time I will be taking my coleman for cooking and Im hoping to find a battery operated fan at Wally World today Im going to look last yr I waited till they were all gone to decide I needed one! IT Gets HOT and muggy here in the east pretty fast as you know! The closet cleaning is quite a chore!! 5 days till blast off for you!

  5. Hi Karen,

Thanks for the warning. Where did the fuse go? I now you must of had a deep cycle battery for your camper. They aren't cheap so I want to make sure I have everything right.

    Hi Gypsy,

Yes I hear it's easy but at the cost of some of this stuff I need to be sure of what goes where.

    Hi Sondra,

First I knew the way I had written my leaving time it was confusing. I'm not leaving until June 14. I have all these follow up apt. for my eye before I can go.
Your trip sounds great. Do you have a Harbor Freight near you. I know it can cost a bit but they have a solar panel for around $125. but you would also need a deep cycle battery the hook up is so easy. If you have a place to stash the battery out of your way nothing needs to be done but hook the little clips on to the cables from the solar panel.
Some how my battery powered fans seem to have grown from to 2 to 4 LOL but they are great get one as soon as possible.
