More Crappy News

I called the Ins. today to find out why this is taking so long. Just let me warn you how bad these ins. companies are getting. They told me they had no requests for any tests. I was so angry my first thought was to raise hell at the Dr. office. I'm glad I didn't. They showed me the fax they received from the ins. company asking for even more information on my problem. Your Dr. no longer can order anything without them scrutinizing every inch of you. He said in the end he will have to talk to a Dr. on the ins. staff and then get things going. So more blood work was taken today.

In the past tests an infection showed up in a place it shouldn't be. So now I am on another round of heavy duty antibiotics. And a Kidney scan is now on order too.

All this aggravation set the pain scale at high, really high, and Tylenol was needed when I got home.

I just want my life back.

  1. I don't know if you have ever been to a part of the country that has Lyme disease. My sister was going to have knee surgery recently and she had an infection they couldn't find. Her doctor ordered the test for Lyme disease while they were doing blood work. She has Lyme disease. She has never been East of Louisiana and that's not something we hear about here. No telling how long she has had it. She has been having health problems show up in the last few years. I told a friend about it and she told me about a man we know that was being treated for Parkinson and was just getting worse. He was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease. They were treating him for the wrong thing.

  2. Sorry that you are going through this aggravation. I understand their need to carefully monitor financial expenditures but it is ridiculous when people and their medical care get lost in their checks and balances. Hope you get some answers soon.

  4. Hi Martha,

I might just mention this to my Dr. since I do lots of camping. Thanks for the heads up. Hope your sister and friend get well soon now that they know what it is.

    Hi Karen,

Some of this ins. crap is very frustrating to the Drs. as well. He doesn't want to be speculating on whats wrong and treat the wrong thing.

  5. Luckily our health insurances here in Canada don't stop the doctors from testing for the purpose of diagnosing a problem.
It suddenly occurred to me that when we went to Florida the first two winters Kathy came down with severe back pains. The pain was brought on by Bladder and Kidney infections and was caused by drinking water from the faucet in our tea and coffee. We run an elaborate filtering system on our trailer but they were not taking out the minerals causing the problem. The use of Cranberry Juice did more good than Antibiotics to clear the problem. Since then all our cooking and drinking water is purchased at Water Dispensing Machines. This last year Kathy didn't experience a single problem.
Have your doctor check your Kidney function as that might be the problem.

  6. I have known several people who have contracted Lyme disease, and i would agree that you should be tested for it. Another one I'm really afraid of is Valley Fever. Good Luck. By the way, what insurance do you have?

  7. Hi Rick,

While I was in up in the white mountains I was drinking the tap water since it tasted so good. I had pain before I left but it was from a fractured rib. You are bringing up some interesting things about the water. Looking into the kidneys is one of the test he wants done but this stinking ins. is blocking the way. I do take cranberry supplements but I'm not very good about it.

    Thanks for the tips.

    Hi Gypsy,

I have known some people who have had lyme disease too.. Have been tested for valley fever already. I have United Health Care they used to be so good, but this year all ins. have gone done hill.

    Thank you,

    Hi Sondra,

They have way to much power and the government backs them up. Yes lots of greed

You might find the juice less appealing then the supplements but it works far better and quicker. Kathy has in the past also added soda water making it a thirst quenching mid-day drink while fighting her Kidney infections. The secret to fighting the infections is the Cranberry juice itself. By not having to use Antibiotics so much it allows your body's own immune system to ward off other illnesses.
Hope to hear some good news heading your way soon.

  13. Hi Rick,

I like the juice it just has to much sugar in it the one that does not have sugar is very hard to find. My immune system at this point is not working very well.

    Hi Princess,

Can't do chiropractor at this pint since I am having so many bone problems. Once we can get the nuclear bone scan done and see which direction we can take next.
