Great Day Inspite of The Heat

My friend Barb picked me up for breakfast and we enjoyed. Barb had to take someone to TIA so she took me home. A little while later she called and said she was heading back our way and lets go do something else. As long as the A/C is pumping cold air I'm in. Off we went to Home Goods, I picked up more little bottles for spices, sheets and hand soap. I didn't find what I was looking for but I was happy with what I did.

Then we walked over to Natural Grocery, for a walnuts, pumpkin seeds, almonds, yellow lentils and some natural stuff for cholesterol control. Since they decided I should be paying $176. for a 3 month supply of Crestor. These insurance companies  and pharmancies are ripping up off so bad.

By time we finished cruising around the stores it was already lunch time. We didn't know where to go and then remembered Panera was on the way so that's where we went. I have never eaten at a Panera before and I so enjoyed my lunch of Strawberry salad and other fruits and walnuts. Excellent!

So in spite of the nasty 113 degrees we did have a great day.

Good Night All

  2. Hi Sondra,

Yes it is strong heat indeed. I love pumplin seeds too and picked up a big bag of them and the other seeds and nuts that I bought, Natures Grocery is a great place for bulk items. The prices are great.

  3. I don't really like to eat out, but when I'm in NY we go to Panera at least once. I like their kale salad. If there is anything that irritates me, it's having to stand around to give my order to someone. If I'm going to eat out at all, I want to sit at a table and have someone come and take my order. I'm noticing at so many places you have to wait in a line to get to the counter to give your order, then find a seat so someone can bring it to you. Why don't they just wait on you to begin with. I also refuse to use self checkout lines in groceries, Home Depot, etc.

  5. Hi Gypsy,
We got lucky and we were the only ones ordering at the time. I don't mind it as long as the line isn't crazy long. I don't like self check out something always goes wrong very irritating.

    Hi JMD,

I was so tempted to say no and stay home but I'm so sick of staying home already and locked up in the house with everything closed up.

  6. Just joined your site. Loving your blog..please don't give up on finding a small trailer. Much better than a van in my opinion, for so many reasons. You already have a truck, no need to buy another motor driven vehicle. I just purchased a 25 TT and love it. I still own a pop up but would not recommend it due to amount of cranking, pulling, and adjusting.
