Wonderful Mothers Day

I had a great mothers day. Went to breakfast as usual with my daughter Sunday morning, but Tracy brought me new slippers, new night gown and a pretty bouquet of flowers. We left early so we might beat the crowds and it worked out well. Just as we finished and started talking about up coming events the place exploded with people and screaming unmanageable kids. We made a fast beeline for the the door.

Stopped at Safeway so I could pick up pint of fat free half n half so I could make this delicious  meal of Creamy Parmesan Garlic Mushroom Chicken later on in the day. Of  course there was plenty left over to divide and freeze.

We ran to the house to drop off the half n half before we went on to do something else. In the mean time Tracy went on the porch with Fred and we never went anywhere else since sitting on the porch was so comfortable.

This evening my daughter Debbie came and picked me up and took me to dinner at Chili's and it was so good. I couldn't finish so boxed it up and I sent it home with her for  my grandson Jimmy Mac. Jimmy will eat anything. Love him

We came back here as she had an old picture of my mom and one of my aunts I think I know which aunt it is but not sure since the sisters looked so much alike. I sent to  a couple of cousins to see if they can ID which one it is and if they know who the other ladies are. Just received a text from my cousin Lois yes that is her mother she will see her tomorrow to ask about the other 2 ladies. Since it was forwarded to me I can't seem to save it and move it to here.

Good Night All

  1. You had a great Mother's Day! Ours was simple, since we are so spread out we drove about an hr away and we all met in a somewhat central location. A local chain of restaurants called the Lizard's Thicket. they make "home cooked" type meals. We all enjoyed what we had. On Saturday my favorite Aunt and Cousin from TN stopped by to see us they had a time share at Edisto Island, so it was great to see them. A busy weekend for my fist days back home!

    1. I did have a good day and yesterday evening too. At least you did all get together and the restaurant sounds like a fun place. Love places that have good home cooked taste. Yes you sure were busy for just coming in off the road.

  3. Quite a few years ago I went through all my really old photos and marked the names of the peoople on the backs. I just hope my kids hang on to them - you know everything including all their photos are on their cell phones now.

It was nice to hear about your Mother's Day. You have good kid and grandkids.

    1. Hi Rick n Kathy,

Since I changed over to windows 10 my scanner no longer works. But I may have to take a photo of the picture and then upload it
