My back progressed from bad to worse. So off I went to the Dr. today he tried to work out a few knots and he may have gotten a couple but couldn't get them all. Said it was way to tight. Also did some twisting of a muscle, and he is concerned that I may have cracked something. So off for x rays tomorrow and bone density test.
I guess it's time to hang up my Wonder Women Cape. Not happy about that.
Good Night All
Cape's are best left in the closet for the sake of one's back. Sorry about the issue but I bet you get better soon.
ReplyDeleteHow is your grandson doing? Can he see out of his eye?
I'm forever saying I'm gonna quit the activities like hiking, but the words aren't out of my mouth long until I'm changing my mind. Don't quit now but leave an opening so that you can continue your life when you get better. Hanging up your cape is like saying "That's it! Life might as well be over". That's my take on it anyway.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better soon - don't hang up that Wonder Woman cape...
ReplyDeleteAHHH dang it! I hope its only stiff muscles---and you still get to leave for your trip.....Seems our bodies are not connected to our brains in the right way ...IM always doing things I should NOT be doing but that's how I've always lived my live so I don't know any better!
ReplyDeleteHi JMD,
ReplyDeleteSometimes we just need to learn how to do things right in the first place lol. Grandson has gotten the sight back in his eye.
Hi Gypsy,
I noticed you are talking about hiking haha on your blog. I guess what we really need to do is modify the way we do things. Quitting is not in my mind just trying not to ignore signs of possible injury would be a very good idea for me.
Hi Diva,
Thank You, I didn't mean I was going to give up just quit trying to be a little smarter than I have been. :)
Hi Sondra,
I think that's all it is and I AM GOING on this trip. You sure have that right about the brains an body. If I would have paid attention to the signs it wouldn't have gotten this bad. My stubborn streak takes over to often.
I hope you find out what works for you. I know I'm feeling better now that my camping lifestyle matches my back's pain realjties. Less lifting, less moving stuff around and a comfy bed to rest weary bones on has made an incredible difference. I'm with you keep going till you can't go anymore. If my back is going to hurt.....I'd just as soon be in a beautiful interesting place.

ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteGood to hear your back is doing better. Mine will get there too now that I have some good meds to ease up the tightness. But your right what better place than somewhere green and beautiful.
