Been A While

Since the last post we had nothing but wind. So with that and the Mesquite and Palo Verde trees blooming I was not well. I don't  remember ever suffering from allergies this bad. And you know its bad when I call off Sunday breakfast with my daughter. I finally took my friends advise and bought Clairitan D, I got lucky as they had just gotten in a $4 coupon and the store was also having a slight reduction in the price. After about 1 1/2 hrs after taking the pill I had improved so much. But more high winds are on the way but if I get all my errands done I won't have to leave the house for those couple of days.

Not much to write about at all

Good Night All

  2. I've been having some allergy issues this year as well but Skittlez is the one who really suffers in our house. She moans and rubs and scratches until she makes herself raw. We have her on Apoquel which really seems to work. Wish I could find something that worked as well for me. I can't take Claritin-D because the D part makes my Restless Legs go berserk. I do use Claritin without the D and it does help. Stay inside in the air conditioning as much as possible.

    1. Hi Sandie,
Poor little Skittlez, but at least they have a medication to help her out. And at least you can use the Claritan plain maybe if I have to get more I will just go with the plain it is so much cheaper.

  3. Sealing with allergies at any time is not pleasant but worse when you are stuck inside. Hope it all clears up for you soon.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. Hi Rick and Kathy,

So far I am doing better but more high winds on the way guess I'll just stay indoors. I may have to wait before going up north until all the yellow pine pollen is gone.

  4. Leonard has been sneezing and sinus running. Might be allergies. His Dr. told him to try Claritin and not with a D. Said due to high blood pressure use nothing with a D.

    1. Hi Phyllis,

I see a few people have to stay away from the Claritan D for one reason or another.

    1. Hi Sondra,

So far so good but we haven't had much wind this week. Good to hear the hummingbirds have arrived and the trees are budding out. You post here was fine

  6. I take generic Claritan (loratidine) OTC every day of the year (even winter) and it is a constant help for me. When I run out and go a few days without, that's when everything happens until I start taking it again and then the symptoms are almost immediately minimized (or even gone) again. No they are not 100% gone, but it sure helps me especially when pollen, etc is flying the different times of the year. Jim takes citiezine (Zertec).

    1. Hi Emily,

All the generic Claritan was gone. So I know I'm not the only one suffering from these terrible allergies this year. the other one they recommended was the Zertec.
