Ft. Apache Part 1

Made it back to Ft. Apache today. The weather was a little on the warm side but not bad at all. Very few clouds, no threat of rain. I took so many pictures I will be posting for at least 3 days and I will not post all I took.

This was the Commanding Officers House. This was so unique I spent lots of time taking pictures at this one spot as you can see.
It is hard to get pictures of these signs I hope when they are clicked on they will be readable
I just love the top of this building it is awesome the detail is amazing

This glass enclosure is another entrance to the house

It was hard to take pictures through the windows as the sun caused glare but you can see this house is being renovated and I think it will be lived in as there is a very new and modern kitchen in the back.
The wood floors are beautiful and I believe they are original
As I enlarged this picture I noticed that it is not an electric light I imaging it is oil.

Anyone for a BBQ?
I noticed there is an electrical cord running over the pit and some slob threw a water bottle down on the ground.
Tomorrow I will post more of the Fort at random shots.

  2. I didn't come over here looking for trouble :) Amazing thing about that house is, every one of those stones is hand hewn. They sidn't have much in the way of power tools 120 years. They sure don't build em like they used to.

  3. Hi John, I love to share my exploring. Glad you are enjoying it to.

Hey HoboJoe, Yes it is amazing the way they made things back then. There are a few more houses made of that same rock but not as grand as this one.

Thank you guys for coming over this morning.
    Have a great day.
