Update on TV

I forgot to mention the latest on the TV.  Got a  call from the Geek Squad, it will cost to much to repair the TV so I am getting full refund including tx. I will not be buying another TV from Best Buy as it seems their 2 brands have this same problem. I will see what else they have and I will also go to Walmart. I have never had a problem with Walmart stuff. I have bought computers and TVs from them in the past. And of course I will make sure I buy the extended warranty no matter what store I buy from.

I sure hope I get out and take some pictures soon. I am getting into a rut here. Its still to hot to spend anytime out of the house after 10am.

Hope you all had a nice Sunday.

  1. You might also check Amazon. They have some good prices on electronics. That's where I got my last TV.

  3. Good luck on finding a TV. We bought our current TV from Best Buy...I think it is a Samsung. Haven't had any problems with it at all.

  4. Hello Happytrails,
I have a small Samsung that my friend took out of my motor home so I can watch it in the house. Its a great but very little tv. I don't remeber if I bought it at Best Buy or Walmart.
The brand TV from Best Buy was Dynex which is their own brand. They have another one but I am not sure if it is a Scott.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  5. Remember way back when -if a TV broke we called in the repairman. Today we just buy a new one! Seems that is the way with most things now. We seem to live in a throw-away generation. Oh well, a topic for another day.

  6. Hi Phyllis,
It sure seems that way. with the price of things today they should last a lot longer than 18 mths. Just glad I had that extended warranty. I would have been out quite a bit of money.

  7. We have a tv we bought at Walmart five years ago and it works better than our new one. We always buy the extended warranty on electronics. There are too many things that can go wrong with them.
