Winter in Tucson

Today was cloudy and rainy all day.
After our first walk today I figured I better hit the grocery store. Bought the turkey and hope it will be big enough. May have to also do a ham.
As I came out of the store there was a fine misty rain. As I got onto the road the sky opened up. Luckily I have a covered carport, it was raining buckets.
It was a Tucson winter day, not cold but wet and cool.
Fred and I went out for quick walks when the rain stopped but it didn't stop for long and we sprinted home each time. Well walked fast anyway.

These mountains are to the South

Most of the day they were covered in clouds

The sun was trying to break through

OH look the sun is burning off the clouds

It didn't last long. The rain just fell all day long.
I have had Internet problems all day. And hope to find time to go down to Verizon tomorrow and get rid of this cricket thing.

Then we had about a 3 second power outage, just enough to make all the digital clocks go off. grrr.

I made quite a few hats today since there wasn't much else to do.

I made the chicken recipe RVSue had and boy was that a winner.

Use boneless chicken breast or what ever pieces you choose,
reduced fat cream of chicken soup
green chili and colby cheese.
use your own amounts on these ingredients.
I used 3 breasts
1 can of cream of chicken soup
half a large can of green chili
and threw on as much cheese as I thought was enough.
I premixed the ingredients and then poured over the chicken and let it sit in the fridge all day until I was ready to bake. baked at 350 for 30 min.
Sue had said the best results came from the marinating in the fridge. She was correct.
I will freeze the left overs for another time.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

  1. The pictures show that it was a good day to whip up RVSue's chicken receipt. I saw from picture 5 even the birds were grounded.

  2. I've made a similar recipe, only no chili. I use broccoli instead.

  6. Hello Phyllis,
I have had trouble for a few days. Everytime I signed in it went away. The I found that maybe I did it or maybe it was blogger but the keep me logged in box was checked. I seem to be OK now. But Granny's Place is saying that blogger doesn't exist, I waited a few day and it still isn't there. So who knows maybe her box is checked too.
    Thanks for trying again.

    Hi Trouble,
I thought about changing back to regular clocks but it would only be the one in my room so why bother.
    Thanks for stopping by.
