Oh Brother 8~(

It was another great day today.
But the weed problem had me stumped. I sprayed and only 3 out 200 died.  I know I shouldn't admit this but hell I'm sure I am not the only one who has done this before and we all need a good laugh. Don't we?

Those spray things on ready mixed stuff is nasty and always gives me a blister. So I figured I'd pour it into the sprayer bottle with the pump thing.  I had to really get aggressive trying to open that bottle. I finally got it off by beating the hell out of it. Just as I was going to pour it in on top of some left over chemical. I caught  site of the container....BUG!! Bug spray. Where did that come from? Man I tell you I don't know. No wonder the weeds didn't die. So I managed to spray all the weeds again before I ran out. Of course it started to cloud up as soon as I finished. But luckily it never rained.
I'll have to buy more soon as the weeds seem pretty healthy this year. And I leave a couple bottles for my daughter to spray. Of course Deb prefers to pull them out. Not me to much work and then if you don't get the root they come right back. But if it makes her happy who I'am to argue.

Hope everyone had a pleasant weekend.

Good Night All

  1. You might show the bugs the can and tell them to go eat the weeds are your going to spray them.

  3. We kept buying commercial weed killers and apparently our weeds thrive on the stuff. Now my husband sprays with vinegar (white) just straight, make sure it isn't going to rain if you try it or it would dilute down and not work.

  7. Hi, Jo! I had my front yard landscaped, but I gave the back yard to the pups and the bugs. I have no interest in gardening, whatsoever! It's getting out of hand. I never had it fertilized because I don't like the chemicals around the pups AND I just didn't care. We bought the house and thought the big back yard was good so the kids would play. I don't think they ever played in the yard. We're on a dead-end so all the kids played with each other in the street. I know the longer I wait to do it, the worse it will get, and the harder to sell. If it's me selling, I'll just knock some money off the price and give the headache to someone else.

I have no idea what kind of bugs are back there and have no intention of finding out. My eyes are drooping, again. I can't stay awake with these meds. Hugs to Fred.

  8. Hi Nancy and Jack,
I have gravel here they don't allow grass which is fine by me. But the weeds just keep coming. I should go get that pre-emergent and spray before Friday when it should rain. Maybe that will help keep the weeds down. Luckily I don't have a large lot. I gave that up after I had the acre and no one wanted to help keep it up.

    Hope you rest well.
