The Great Adventure

We had a wonderful time. We wanted to see what we would need and what not.
That was accomplished. I made a list of little things that might be needed and what to
leave home the next time.

The first night it was kind of cold but the day warmed up a little to much.  Last night was
not so cold and it sure started heating up when we decided to clean up and close down
camp, much to Fred's delight.

It was so hot and dirty that I walked Fred down  to the lake a couple times where he was
more than happy to get right in so I could clean him up.

I met the New Age Nomad, what a delightful pup he has with here one blue eye and
one brown. They are moving to higher ground for cooler temps. I enjoyed meeting him.

The first order of business was to bath Fred. He loved it and needed 2 scrub downs to
see clear water running of him. As soon as the water heated back up it was my turn. It
felt so wonderful to be clean.

I then started to unload the truck a little at a time as the temps were pretty high here today.
And I was sure tired.

Tomorrow will be the dreaded laundry.

I will post the pictures in a 2 day period.

Can we go home now I don't like this place! it's dirty

Will post more tomorrow evening.

Good Night All

  3. Good morning John,
Yep now I know what it takes so off to cooler lakes soon.

    Hi Roxie,

No I am in Pinetop. It has been hot enough here. I won't be back in T-town until mid Oct.

  5. Fred, where you are is cleaner than where I am. Because I have four legs they made us sleep in a smoking room. The nerve. Nancy is so tired she could sleep on nails. Drive went okay, but Nancy had a hard time carrying our things to the room. Glad you had a great time on your trip--boy I wish I could go in a lake! See ya. ~ Jack

  6. Hi Carolyn,

We sat in the screen room and it wasn't so bad with the fake grass. He stayed there most of the time. But when he was sulking he went to his kennel. Hahaa

I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go agian but we will try something cooler next time.

    Hi Jack,

Now that is mean. Does Nancy have a set of wheels to cart things around? They sure are great to have. Just found one at a second hand store to drag the laundry over.
Hope you have fun in NY.
