Truck Loaded and Ready to Roll

Went and picked up the last of the food. Lucy and I drove to
Scott's and our hearts sunk.  We only found one empty site.
We figured if we couldn't get in we would find another place
to go.

I started cooking when I got home. Made sausage, peppers
and onions for Liz and I. I made it without onions for Lucy.
Made up some omelets and made one with out onions.

After all was cleaned up and dishes washed I knew I better
start loading up the truck. I was running low on energy.
Lucy had sent a text about something and I told her how
tired I was. Here she came to help. After loading up we
drove out to Scott's and found a couple sites that had been
in use earlier were now empty. So Lucy unloaded some things
to hold the site.

On the way out we spotted New Age Nomad's van. We
stopped in to meet him and his dog Candi. He will be there
for a while since Candi, needs to visit the vet tomorrow.

After Lucy dropped me off she ran home and picked up the
rest of her stuff and headed back to the camp ground to
spend the night. I will head out in the morning around 8:15.
Just need to pack the cooler and pick up ice.  I may even
stay  a few extra days. It took allot of work to pack up for
this trip. So I think staying longer in necessary.

Will post pictures tomorrow if I get a signal.

Good Night All

  4. Good morning Carolyn,

Weather should be great. Nights will be cold but have warm stuff.

    Hi John,
Yes sit back and enjoy the views, you can see the lake and it is just a short walk to it.

    Hello Teri,

You bet to much work for a short trip. Plenty of food and if we need more we are across the road from a great steak house.

  6. Sounds like that camp ground is in your back yard, so close. So, how far away is it?

  7. Hello Gypsy Boho,

I am so excited too. It has been a while since I have done true camping.

    Hi Trouble,

It is only about 2 miles but we are in the White Mountains of AZ. so there are lots of open spaces here right outside of town.

  8. Have a great time, Jo. So glad you're getting to see your dreams come true. I've heard the White Mountains are beautiful. My niece and nephew have cabins in Strawberry.

Got Jack on medication for his legs/hips, today, after blood tests yesterday. I'm going to try AGAIN to get out of here on Friday to get up to NY to see my sister. Wouldn't it be nice if things worked out just once.

I look forward to hearing all about your camping. Even 2 miles from home, when you're camping it feels like a world away. Have fun.
