Dodging The Rain

I heard the rain again during the night. This is good since it is still a nice easy rain.

I did 2 loads of laundry early this morning, towels and Fred's bedding. Tomorrow I'll do regular laundry.

I swept off the carpet in the screen room and found lots of nasty spider webs in the corners. Sprayed them all down. Then cleaned them off. After the spray settled down I thought maybe we could sit out there. But the humidity really hit and it was awful out.

In we came and I turned on the A/C. About 2 hrs. later it turned cool out again as of course it started to rain again. So trying to walk Fred was a dodge game with the rain. We made it to under the trees Fred still wasn't happy. We made it back to the house and went to sit in the screen room but Fred wanted in the house.

So we dodged rain most of the day on our walks.

I've been wanting to make a quiche for a while so I figured burn off some dampness and make it this evening. This kitchen is way to small for making something like that. Cooking in the oven with propane is quite a challenge .

Other than that didn't do much.

Good Night All.

  3. SO, When out on your walks and it starts to rain you and Fred stand under trees? That's like holding a golf club up in the air in an open field. Spooky...

  4. Good morning John,

I'm surprised after all these years you haven't learned to cook. But as long as your not starving your doing just fine.

    Hello Tom,

We don't go out when we are having lightening. We just do the trees so Fred can do his business and head back in.

  5. Jo,

Anything to do with the oven is off limits during these months. My husband's fondest memories are of goodies I bake in cooler months. He is just going to have to wait it out since I am not going near the oven. Ha!

  6. Hello JMD,

If it hadn't been cool and damp I would never have made that in the over. I wouldn't be using the stove at all.
