So Much Rain

The sun came up and then it was gone. Clouds were very heavy and we just knew it was going to be a rainy day.

Took Fred to get his nails trimmed this morning. He is such a cry baby. But all was forgiven when the groomer gave him a treat.

I went to lunch with my friend Sharon today. We couldn't get into the Cottage Tea House because there just isn't enough parking spaces. So we went to a restaurant that Sharon recommended. It is so close to my house and I was wondering about it. I won't go back.
Of course her food looked great but mine was just not happening.

As we sat and talked it started storming really bad. The lightening was awesome.  As we finished the rain slowed down and we made it back to the car.

Then the sun came out and I took Fred for a walk. We got back just as the thunder started again and more rain came down. It did that for the rest of the day. Each break in the rain  we made a mad dash for a walk.

The mosquitoes are awful and no matter what I put on it doesn't work. I have been killing them like crazy in the trailer too. I sure miss my screen room now.

There are lots of people up here on the Mountain this weekend and I don't know why. Haven't found any goings on anywhere. Maybe just taking a break from the heat.

Have a great weekend and be safe.

Good Night All

  1. On top of a mountain is the only place to be in the heat!

  2. That's probably the reason. We are heading for the Smokies next week. Not much altitude (5000 ft.), but it's 10 degrees cooler than here.

I empathize about the rain. It just won't end here!

  3. Good morning Gypsy,

Yes it is the place to be when you live in the lower south end of AZ. I just know if this place sells right away I will have to find something to tow quick, and get right back up here.

    Hi tinycamper,
Yes weekends are crazy up here and I try not to go anywhere. Need to make a quick run to the little local grocery store for some meat.

I hope you have a great camp out.
