A Reading and Picture Day

It was a really pretty morning and then the clouds came back with some wind. But the wind came and went and the sun came an went.

After doing a few things around the house Fred and I headed to the porch with a nice cup of coffee and my Kindle. No no coffee for Fred. I have been reading a book someone recommended. It is about a women who missed being killed on 9/11 and decided to take a year to travel other countries. I usually only read when I go to bed so this book is taking a long time to read. It isn't really that good so I wouldn't recommend it. It sure isn't what I expected but I guess if I'm still reading it it isn't all bad.

I ran over to Barb's for a while to drop something off and we visited a little.

Saw some interesting birds in the yard today

Can you see the yellow bird?

This Hooded Oriole drove me crazy for days trying to get his picture

Gambles Quail and of course Doves I really dislike them they are annoying and really dirty birds. They don't make a nest they just pile sticks on any surface and call it done. They they lay eggs which roll off the nest onto the ground Splat

Hope everyone who celebrates this holiday have a Happy Easter.

Good Night All

  1. Jo, the bird pictures came out nice. We went to the Grand Canyon Saturday and I think so did most of the world! We managed a couple of parking spots and then gave up since there were none to be found. Spectacular as always!

    Have a wonderful day.

  2. Hello JMD,

Grand Canyon is such wonderfull place to see. I would love to go back armed with my Canon when I went the first time I just had a small camera that didn't capture the really color or beauty.
Sorry you couldn't find a place to park and spend some time. I think everyone is trying to get in all the spots that will get really hot and not very enjoyable. My sister is going with her family in late June told her to be prepared for the heat.

  3. After 9/11 I moved back from Ireland to the U.S. and vowed to never leave my country again. I've seen a lot of the world, and it will just have to do for this lifetime. I love and appreciate America so much more after living abroad and experiencing 9/11 from a different perspective.
