Big Nasty

I forgot to mention yesterday about the big ugly snake!  I went to drop off my HOA payment and one of the guys had a picture he was going to post. I went to look at it OMG! I thought it was a Python it was huge and being held on a catcher of some kind.  It was a rattler! I have never seen such a huge rattler it was at least 5' and it must have just ate a dog or something because it was so thick and fat. It was caught down the hill along the back wall in someones yard.  If that had been in my yard I would have been packing and moving out in a heart beat. I hate snakes of any kind. If there bigger than a worm I'm done.

I did some laundry today but not much else.

I've been having a problem with my kindle lately and today it kind of gave up the ghost. I put a call in to customer service as just as they answered my phone went dead. I plugged it into my laptop a little while ago. I unplugged it to check it out and it seems to be working fine right now. If it starts to act up again I will call again tomorrow and first make sure my phone is fully charged.

Good Night All

  2. I tryto give snakes plenty of leeway and don't bother them, and they have never bothered me. I don't see many now that I'm in CA, although I know there must be plenty.

  3. YIKES! I hate snakes in general and rattlers in particular!

Hope you can enjoy the Kindle with your morning coffee tomorrow. I like to think of you sitting outside reading in the mornings. It sounds like a good way to start the day. :)

  5. Just saying 'hi' since I haven't commented much lately. I have been reading , however, and know that the heat hasn't been much fun. We have a garden snake in our garden, where he belongs. I like him because he/she keeps the rodents down. I watching him go from a foot long earlier this year to maybe 3 feet long. He is an ok snake. Hopefully your kindle will rekindle, although last fall I did have to give up and buy a new one when mine died.

    1. Hi Sue,

I know some snakes are good to have around but something as big as that and deadly can stay away.

      Kindle is revived. Thank you

  6. I am not afraid of snakes but I give them a wide berth especially If I dont know what kind of snake it is...if its one I'm familiar with as being harmless I will give it an escort out of my yard..

    1. Hello Sondra,

When I was a kid I stepped on one in tall grass it probably was only a garden snake but it was wet and nasty as it wrapped around my ankle I guess I steppe on its head. That was the end of it for me for ever.

When I take him out now I am so afraid and try to check out every inch before I let him go running around the yard.
