Cool Down Day

It was cooler today. Only hit 101.

Drove over to Tracy's today to drop off some Allergy meds. and came back home. Had dinner with my sister this evening so had a nice break from home.

Put out last of the bird seed for the summer. And way to many doves coming and they are so dirty. Besides the activity can bring snakes and we know I don't want them hanging around.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Good Night All

  1. With those kinds of temperature you need to be breaking out the winter wear. I finished the bird seed here too. They'll have to fend for themselves for awhile.

    1. Good morning John,

I figure if it goes to about 98 I will have to get out the sweats.

time for the birds to eat bugs better for them.

  2. I thought of you yesterday. Our electricity went out and it didn't take long for it to become unbearable in the house and it's in the 80s here! Fortunately, it didn't last long. How did we do it when we were kids--no air conditioning. Never remember being hot! Hi and pats to Fred.

    1. Hi Nancy,

I know we never had a/c. there was a trap door to the attic and my dad would put a fan in that spot and run it to pull the hot air into the attic. But no really wasn't bothered by it much as a kid. But the last 9 yrs I just can't handle it any more. Fred sends his love to your both.

  5. We managed a quick run to the Dr. and grocery store and are now inside! Yesterday was 103 and today is looking about the same. Got one fast road runner hurrying through our backyard yesterday. Too fast, I couldn't get a picture of it. Too bad it was a really pretty one. Hmmmph

    1. Hi JMD,

Getting things done as early as possible is the best in this heat. Roadrunners are quick indeed. I never have my camera ready when I spot one.
