Got More Done

Another nice day today below 100.  Sat out for a while then figured I better tackle more carpet cleaning. I tell you this is really making me angry that I can't get these marks out of the carpet. They are from the asphalt street out here. Since it's always so hot they just keep giving off that mess and Fred had made paths everywhere and of course  when people stop by and don't take off their shoes. But I'll keep  working at it and hope for the best.

Then my Granddaughter Amanda stopped by with the Pirate. While she waited for her husband to get off work.  Tomorrow Amanda is have gallbladder surgery she is so young to have this trouble. But I know she will do just fine she's a tough kid.

Played with my camera today

I believe this is a radio station south of my house on the top of a mountain. I need to use my tripod so I can get the building my arms start to shake and I can't get a good picture

Good Night All

  1. Have you tried Goo B Gone it is terrific stuff and usually does a good job of removing paint and other things. You can get it in the Hardware stores or Home Depot.
    Good luck

  2. Whoa, I so understand about the tar. Anytime we walk to the mailbox or across parking lots during the summer the bottom of our shoes pick up the ugly black stuff. Nice pics.
How is Fred doing? Does the heat bother him?

    1. Hello JMD,

It is awful stuff. I had to quit walking Fred because of it. Now we play a game in the drive way which is very long. I have hime stay at the far end and I walk out to the edge of the road. I just give a very low come and he comes flying down the drive way and back up to the other end. I repeat this several times in the early morning and late evening.

  3. Having undergone gallbladder surgery right before Christmas, I can sympathize with Amanda. I think it would have been easier on me if it was done when I was much younger, but they could never figure it out - no sophisticated tests when I was young. I really didn't have much trouble with the recovery, looking back on it, although at the time I was in misery for a week or so. I wish Amanda a speedy recovery and no more problems.

    1. Hi Gypsy,

I remember when you had your surgery and yes since she is only 24 and otherwise very healthy an active she will do great. I just think todays kids eat to much junk food all that take out is poison. thank you for the well wishes to her.

  5. Jo, have you tried Capture? I haven't found anything that it won't take out. http://tinyurl.com/mcjqeg5 I found out about it through my daughter-in-law years ago. She had white carpeting and ran a day care in her home. I asked her one day how on earth she kept the carpet so clean...Capture was the answer. I used to keep it in the motorhome, and I can't tell you how many people I lent it to who had spilled one thing or another. Great stuff and it will last you forever.
