Fresh Veggies and Fresh Fruit

Rose took me to pick up the truck this morning. As I sat in the truck I heard music. They somehow managed to fix the stereo. Yippee Music on a long trip. No Charge. The guy said he couldn't get the CD's out and I haven't tried to do that yet as It was way to hot to mess around when I got home from a long day.

After picking up the truck I picked up Rose and we went over to the Reservation to see what produce they had available. I picked up a few different squash that I had not seen before and a jar of roasted summer squash.Fantastic! We took these home and I grabbed a cooler and ice for our next stop. Stopped at the Dr. for my test results I still need to see specialist but getting an apt. and them keeping them is always a crap shoot.

We went over to Sprouts for some fruits and more veggies. I love that store. I picked up a really nice eggplant, strawberries, red and green grapes, mini bell peppers, grape tomatoes and cranberry capsules. There was so much more that I wanted but held back for now.

By time we finished it was 1 pm and about 105 so we called it a day and headed home.

I drank down a bottle of cold water and started on another one. Had lunch and then just relaxed with a nice cool salad.

Good Night All

  1. I sometimes have trouble knowing when enough is enough at the farmers' market.

  2. Sounds like your day went better than the day before. Are the prices good at the farmer's market where you are? They are too high here so we can't shop there.

  3. Hi Gypsy,

Yes it can be way to easy to over buy. There are 2 farmers markets that I have just found out about but the hours are 4-7 pm. 4 is the hottest part of the day and after that the traffic maybe crazy. Will give it a shot next Wed.

    Hi JMD,

The prices for what little they had weren't to bad at all. But the prices at Sprouts are great. I know in Show Low and Lakeside they prices were sky high and the stuff wasn't very good.
