Minding My Own

After getting a slow start today drinking my coffee and really enjoying it I made my self get moving.

I threw in a load of laundry and headed out to take measurements of the wheel well. I tried several pieces of wood I had and nothing was long enough. Finally found a piece but it is to long and way to wide. I went to my neighbors house to return something she thought might work for the potty and it didn't, she has been having lots of work done on her house so I asked if maybe they could cut the piece for me tomorrow when they start to work. While we were chatting here came some trouble in the form of Kathy and Barb.

They had been trying to call me for a while but I left my phone in the house. They were headed for World Market Place and came to get me. I was not dressed for this and so I was abducted and throw in the car. (well not really but is sounds like a good reason for going). Ran in the house and closed things up and grabbed my purse. I love that store and don't usually go because it's to far. Anyway Barb found what she was after and so did Kathy. I wasn't after anything but of course I found what I had been looking for at    other places. I first found a sandwich plate that was on sale for 2.99. Then Barb spotted the square baking dish, but I didn't want to spend 14.99 at this time. We walked back to the front of the store and found a few more but they were all the same price. I picked it up and thought I am not going to find it any cheaper anywhere else especially in pottery which of course I would prefer. All the way to the register I kept telling myself to put it back. Of course I didn't and when she rang up the 2 items it was 8.56 GONGA! and it came with a really nice wooden spoon too.

You can see the plate standing behind the baking dish
Now I will get rid of 3 corning ware baking dishes, see I got rid of 3 things just to make room for this piece :) I'm so glad my friends are home but I need to be ready at all times to run off and play.

Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend

Good Night All

  2. I hate it when a store reaches out and grabs me and forces me to buy things. LOL

  3. Kidnapped and probably with a sore arm from having it twisted so hard. You are tough to fight through all that and still bargain hunt.

  4. I haven't been to market world in six years! ;-( Such a great price. I can't fit one more thing in my kitchen or anywhere else. I have another box of "stuff" ready to give to charity. Sigh.

PS Made an Amish Apple Bread yesterday, soo good.

  5. Hi Karen,

We did have a good time we usually do. Then in the summer we all go our separate ways.

    Hi Nancy,

Yes it's a tough fight but darn the store seems to win most of the time. :)

    Good morning John,

    I'm amazing aren't I.

    Hi Sondra,

Yes it was so glad they forced me to go.

    Hi JMD,

At least I gave up some things to have room for the new. My daughter will come get them this week and I hope she finds more things she needs in the cabinet.

Amish apple bread now that sounds really good.

  8. Well, if you've got to be kidnapped, that's the way to go! And coming home with treasures to boot!
