Moving Along

We had some late night rain and into the early morning. It is very humid but managed not to turn on the a/c until early afternoon.

Took Fred, for his shot today. A man came in and said I just lost my dog last night and he looked just like yours. He was so upset and I felt so awful for him. He just kept telling the nurse he just didn't know what to do with the dog and brought him there. She was very comforting and said they would take him. While we were waiting to pay the bill the man reached down to pat Fred and broke down. I was so close to tears myself it just broke my heart and you could tell Fred sensed the mans distress. He left while we were still standing there and brought in the dog in his bed, Fred just kind of hung his head and let out a whimper. Dogs are so amazing. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

I brought Fred home and ran to the store to pick up a few things and a small bag of dog food. It fit in the can with room to spare so I will be able to dump what ever is left from the supply into the can too.

Ground the rest of the Starbucks beans and put them in a can to take along. I brought the kitchen tote in and separated the pots and pans into another tote I had emptied so it won't be so heavy. I finally took the screen room out of the box it came in and gathered some things up to be loaded.

If I didn't have the follow up eye apt. I would leave earlier.

Good Night All

  2. My heart breaks for anyone who loses a beloved pet. After losing our Ginger I said never again because my heart hurt so bad. And now we have two seniors.

I am really loving these temperatures even though the humidity is up somewhat. Sitting here with the door open - wow.

  3. Hi Diva,

I don't know if it was a comfort or more heart break to see Fred. But it sure was sad.

    Hi Sandie,

I can't imagine how that man felt but he surely was heartbroken.

Yes I have the windows open now and the door with the ceiling fan on and a small fan in my computer room.
