Lost It All

Today was a beautiful sunny day so off we went to take pictures of wild flowers, Scott's Reservoir, and what ever else caught my eye.

At Scott's Reservoir I took some awesome pictures and may have gotten a shot of a Bald Eagle which I didn't even know until I enlarged it on the camera.

From there we drove a few more miles and found some beautiful wild flowers. While Lucy cut them I took pictures, the clouds were building and the sky was gorgeous.

Then stopped at a few stores so Lucy could find a picture frame while we waited for Walgreen's to finish printing her pictures.

I waited in the car while she ran in Walgreen's to take some pictures of the building clouds and a few more pretty flowers. The pictures  were fantastic and I couldn't wait to get home and transfer them to my computer..........OH NO! the wouldn't transfer I tried everything. Just when I thought I might have the cord in the truck to try that some how all the pictures disappeared. I am heart broken over this especially if I captured a Bald Eagle. I quick called my friend Tom to find out what could have happened and he ran me through some very simple things I should have tried. So it was all my own fault. Tomorrow I will go back out and try to capture some of the images again.

But at least I could show you the flowers that we brought home from the side of the road,

Good Night All

  1. Those raspberry and yellow flowers are called Indian blankets, I think, and are one of my favorites. All is not lost.

I think we've all had days like that. I remember one in Yellowstone when I forgot to put the memory card back in the camera. I was sure every picture would have been worthy of being published in National Geographic. ;)

  2. So heart breaking when that happens. But I think it's probably happened to most of us at one time. The flowers are gorgeous. I love those Indian Blankets. Thanks Judy.

  3. Hi Judy,

Thanks for the flower names and letting me know I am not the only one to lose good pictures. Sure is a bummer.

    Hi Sandie,

It sure was but oh well I put a small note in my camera case to remind me not to let this happen again. Of course I'm sure I won't forget this mistake for a long time to come. We had to put the flowers outside as both of us were having a terrible allergy reaction.

  6. Love the flowers. Please tell Lucy that her bird houses should be sold nationwide. Bet she would be a big hit. They are wonderful. :-)

    2. she could sell on etsy?! Small fee, but the buyer pays shipping and she could charge to cover the fee to list on the site. I buy things from there several times a year.

  9. Oh that's just awful. You have great pictures and can't get them onto your computer. And that means I don't get to see them. Serious bummer. Hope you can get them again. But don't feel badly, I think everyone has done that at least once.

  10. Hi Jim my Friend,

Pics lost forever and the weather is just not playing nice right now either so no getting out there.

    Hi Sherry,

I so wanted to ID that bird too. The road out to the Lake must be a muddy mess so it will be hard to go back for a while.
