High Tea n Sunday

We have been having the most beautiful weather. While the mornings are still quite cold it is warm around 10 am.

Saturday, was the annual High Tea here in the Village. My oldest granddaughter has been going with me for a few years now. My grandson has recently married and I ask her if she would like to join Amanda and I.  Paula was ready to jump in. We had a great time. The fashion show was great and the prices were nice and affordable. Amanda won the center piece of really pretty yellow Tulips. Kathy always puts up such a pretty table. This year she had a green table cloth and yellow accessories.

Afterwards I went over to my neighbors to see how she was feeling after falling down the steps. They are now under construction to improve the width and the height of the treads.

Today was my day to go to breakfast with my daughter. We were very disappointed in our meals and will not be returning there. The waitress wasn't  very good either and didn't come to refill coffee or tea until we flagged her down to get the check.

From there we headed to a clothing store as I was in search of a new purse, Tracy picked out a nice one and we went off to Lowe's.

I have been in need of replacing my carbon monoxide detector as the other one went bad.

We came back here and sat out for a bit it was just so beautiful out again today.

On the way to take her home I stopped and filled up @ 1.56 Gal.
We then stopped at Walgreen's to pick up some colored pencils.

I sat out for a little bit when I got home but then a breeze came up and it was a little chilly.

I have been working on a lap blanket so I started on that again.

Good Night All

  1. This weather has made it so much more enjoyable to get out and do something and a girls' day out is a fun thing. Hope your neighbor didn't break anything. I fell down the steps on the fifth wheel and broke my ankle and ruptured my Achilles tendon. Not fun.

  2. Hi Sandie,

Its pretty cold right now and still lots of frost on the roofs of the houses around me but it will warm up nicely in a bit. My neighbor broke a rib or too but she is doing better. It sure isn't fun getting hurt and Achilles tendon I hear is really very painful.

  3. I can't wait until our weather is warm enough for me to sit outside for a little while. It's probably ok in the sun, but I can't stay very long in bright sunlight, and it's cold in the shade.

Falling is something I've really been afraid of the past couple of years, as I'm finding myself more likely to trip or lose my balance. I guess it's something that will hit us all if we live long enough!

  5. Not a tea drinker here but I would have loved to have tagged along. Not yet warm enough for my lizard skin but then again I will whine pathetically come summer.

  6. Hi Gypsy,

I should sit in the sun for a bit to get that so important vitim D. It does get chilly quick on the porch for lack of sun. But the fresh air feels so good.

Falling is scary look at the damage I do to myself without falling.

    Hi Sondra,
Ice is never a nice thing to have around unless its in a nice glass of ice tea. My neighbor is doing pretty good.

    Hi JMD,

You don't have to drink tea they also serve coffee and ice water and who knows what else. The temps are dropping some this week and for a few days next week then will warm up again.
