Disturbing

I can't comprehend what goes on in peoples heads. Arizona as you all know is a very old and historic place. We have many old churches here and the most known is San Xavier . San Xavier was completed in 1797, Built by Jesuit Priests and the Native Americans of the area. Lots of very extensive restoration has been going on for many years now. Mostly through donations. This week some horrible damage was done by satanic idiots. Satanic graffiti was spray painted all over the building, sidewalks and outer walls. It leaves a very sick feeling in the pit of your stomach to see this. I surely hope these horrible creeps are caught. I hope  they have cameras and this was caught on film. Crews from the village and many volunteers went to the aid and started painting over the mess. I couldn't get the pictures to copy.
I had this one in my files as you can see people come from all over the world to visit this church. The picture isn't very good as it was a very over cast day and I think I took this with the Kodak.

Good Night All

  2. I am so sorry to hear of what some twisted people have done. You hear about historic artifacts and properties being damaged or destroyed in other countries but now here? Some folks just have no concept of right or wrong... no consciences.

  4. Hi Gypsy,

Yes it bad enough to see this nasty graffiti everywhere and now on a church, this world is turning upside down.

    Hi Brad,

To much of this will we all tolerate before we stand up and fix all these wrongs. I don't believe most of these kids have no proper upbringing in the first place.

  5. I hadn't heard about this and it makes me very sad. We live in a world where respect for anything or anybody has been destroyed. Children are no longer taught moral rights and wrongs and with no belief in God they do whatever they want to. Sad, sad, sad.

  6. Hi Sandie,

It sure is sad, this new world of raising kids is the big problem all those bleeding hearts and child abuse even when being reprimanded and even sadder is they probably still think their right.

  7. This is just terrible. Hopefully justice will be done with more than a slap on the wrist.

  8. It is reminder to us that the evil one is very much active even if people say they don't believe in the devil. He still can possess people and make them do all kinds of horrible things.

  9. We visited there a few years ago. Distressed to hear this. How good though that there are people who step up to the plate and attempt repairs. God bless them all.

  11. Nooooooo, no, no, no. I am not Catholic, but the emotional and historical significance this church and building has to the area has a spot in my heart. Over 60 years ago is when I first saw it on one of our first family trips together exploring the southwest. My parents wanted me to know the historical role it played in helping to settle the area and I have always had admiration for the building and what its part in life is. So many have held it dearly for centuries.

  12. Hi Robert,

there is so much evil in this world and anyone who doen't believe it is a fool. But I still say
parents are to blame in large part, but to be fair some kids are just bad no matter how good the parents were.

    Hi Phyllis,

It is very distressing. But yes lots of volunteers came forward to help. Right now is big tourist season and everyone goes to the Church it is all part of coming to Tucson for so many.

    Hi Sondra,

I need to look for updates on this. Just disgusting.

    Hi Emily,

I'm sure many non Catholics visit this Church and yes it is for the history and the story behind its making.

  13. Why do we always assume this was children or young people? ? This could have been adults (who admittedly were children at one time) that have very strange and evil ideas.
