IM Meltingggggg

Not much to write about with this heat going on. Today when I let Fred out I checked the thermometer on the porch and they both read 115. The floor was so hot I couldn't wait to get back in the house and neither could Fred, there wasn't  even any sun on the porch floor.

Tomorrow will do a quick breakfast and get back home. these temps will be with us for the next 2 months.

Going to get trailer brakes put on the truck and the hunt is on again. I'm not staying here for this I hope anyway.

Hope every one is staying cool.

Good Night All

  2. So sorry you're having to live through this. I am just grateful we were able to leave when we did. Hope you get away soon.

  4. Jo, it is miserable isn't it? This is when I wish I had those big ole trees shading the house, like I did back in Kansas (but glad I don't when it comes time to clean up after them in the fall).

  5. Hi JMD,

Yes right now at 6:32 it is nice and I have the windows open and fans going to clean out the air in here. But soon it will all get closed up again and blinds closed. Don't forget to drink water

    Hi Sandie,

I happy you got out when you did. Don't know whenor if I will be able to leave this summer.

    Hi Emily,

Have you reach these temps in NM too already? I don't think trees would help much here. Just try to stay cool and drink lots of water.

  6. We haven't had your heat but with the high humidity everyone is still sweating. Now things are doing a flip and we are going back to early spring time temps for a couple of days.
Find someplace cool to get away to.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  7. Hi Rick n Kathy,

I wish I could go somewhere but with out having a TT and just the camper shell it just doesn't work. I sure wouldn't want to get stuck in that when monsoons hit. But I am always trying to figure out a way.

  8. We are going up to only a balmy 96 today. I think you should pack what you need in that truck and take off for someplace cool. You probably "need" a lot less than you think!

  9. We are having rain rain rain...I'm hoping to get in a 3 day get away...mid month, but I won't be going far. If it's too hot to camp I will just do a Motel 6 for a night or 2! Summer camping without onboard AC is pretty hard to deal with in the humid east!
