OH The Wind

While temperatures  have been wonderful the wind has not stopped blowing for what seems like forever. Allergies are a mess. Now the temperatures will start climbing and I guess then the wind will go away.

Noticed cacti are starting to bloom around the area so maybe I will get out and start taking pictures.

I did more re arranging in the camper but not nearly what I want it to be. Just so hard because the area is so small and you can't stand up so I do a little and give up.

The Walmart's are starting to put in all these self check - out lines and if I have to do that I want much lower prices. I was told it's because of the new higher pay. Well excuse me lets not act like we aren't making any money and you can't afford to pay these hard working people a decent wage. I more than likely will stop shopping Walmart stores now. Even if it means paying more for my groceries at  other stores like Fry's or Safeway at least I will keep people working.

Good Night All

  1. I refuse to use the self check lines at any store. If they can't afford to use live folks to check me out, I don't need to shop there. I started using Amazon Prime for so much of my stuff...delivered right to my door!

    1. Hi Jim,
I know Fry's has self serve but mostly real clerks, if they go full self serve I will not shop there. I think the only store that does not believe in self serve is Safeway and so I will job there. These self serve registers are putting way to many people out of work.

  2. Constant wind can be nerve racking! It's hard to do anything in the wind...I ended up using a couple Walmart's for overnight stays so I went inside and shopped in exchange, felt that was fair. (spent $14 for some fresh veggies, and $20 for a new car charger) But I don't normally shop there...I like local hometown grocery stores much better.

    1. Yes the wind is just about doing me in. How did the veggies you bought at Walmart hold up? this store has the worst veggies and they're very expensive. I am going to go back to the .99 store. This town has grown so big there aren't any hometown grocery stores left.

  3. Temps are definitely heading up and up. I'm glad we're finally getting to the countdown for us to head north. Hopefully the day after Memorial Day. But depends on weather (wind).

    1. Yes we are getting up into the 90's again too. At least today the winds were down to comfortable breeze. Safe travels

  4. I also refuse to use self checkout lines, although just every store has them now. I will still shop where they have cashiers, because I want to see people in my area with jobs, paying taxes, spending their money locally as well. Most people can't imagine what is changing until it's too late.
