It has cooled down some, it has only been 108, 107. The past 2 mornings have been great and once again windows and doors open from 5:30 am to around 9 am. Of course the east side of the house warms up first so I close the window and the blinds about 9. I can leave the porch door open until around 10:30 then you can start to feel the heat and the door gets closed so the house can stay cool for at least another hr or so.
I went for some labs yesterday and they have a new nurse at the Dr.s office and she was able to get the vein first try. I felt bad for the last nurse as she could never find the vein and I had to stop her as that really isn't fun being poked over an over. So I had been going to the lab. I was a little skeptical about going to the office as I didn't know about the change. I always drink a couple bottles of water before I go.
Went to the store a couple times just to get out of the house. And after the lab work was done I went and bought a nice big Starbucks to celebrate and since I had to fast before I went.
I wish everyone a safe 4th weekend. Me I am staying put out side of doing breakfast with Tracy on Sunday and maybe run to a store or something.

My goodness here I am moaning about our temperatures but they are nowhere near what you have been experiencing, I feel for you.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about nurses that just can't find the vein at first try. My poor mother has had to endure this. In San Antonio they have real good lab techs (do not know the proper terminology for them) and they are quick and efficient.

ReplyDeleteYes this heat seems like it will never end. But staying indoors after 10:30 am is the solution and for sure no later than 11:30 am
Yes my right arm will not give a drop and the left one likes to roll. But this nurse did great and I was happy
