Things Are Looking UP

We had lots of wind yesterday which felt  like putting blow dryer up to your face. But I didn't spend much time out there anyway. I did bake up some stuffed yellow and red bell peppers as they make a good meal. I had to change up the recipe a bit cutting back on all the cheese the recipe calls for. I also made some zucchini boats and left off any extra cheese.

Today doing so much better and went out early this morning to fill the bird baths and water my one remaining plant. That one plant is doing very well and maybe in the fall I will plant another one as they seem to handle the cold and the extreme heat, and need very little water. Also did 2 loads of laundry and some dusting.

Wishing Everyone a safe and happy 4th. Please don't drink and drive.

Good Night All

  3. Happy 4th and keep yourself cool and comfortable.
We slice the Zucchini lengthwise, add lengthwise cuts, Olive Oil and Pepper. Grill until they are tender and serve. Tasty and Low Cal.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  4. My 4th will be spent quietly at home as is my normal 4th...it's the girlz 10th birthday so they will probably get a treat. Casey can't hear so fireworks are no problem for him but the girlz don't like thunder or fireworks and Jimmy goes bonkers! Glad things are looking up for you, enjoy your 4th.

    1. Hi Sondra,

That me say away from the roads and crowds. Wow the girlz are 10! well I hope they enjoy what ever treat they get. Who is Jimmy? Fred could care less about the noise. He's not up to par today so I guess he found something in the yard to eat that he shouldn't once again he never learns

  5. Like you, I'm spending my 4th at home where it's relatively safe. No way would I go out anywhere.

    Be safe, dear friend!

    1. Hi My Special Friend Jim,

Yep nice place to spend holidays anymore. If the heat isn't to bad I may try grilling some veggies and maybe a veggie burger or a veggie hot dog. We shall see.

  6. Hi Jo! Happy Independence Day! The baked peppers sound delicious! I made a couple bacon-wrapped and cream cheese stuffed sweet peppers the other day. Fun stuff!

  10. I know what you mean about the heat. Have a great 4th of July, much like New Year's even when I was younger I would spend it at home.

  11. Hi MsBelinda,

I have an appt. tomorrow at 11:30 and worried about the extreme heat when I am finished even the A/C in truck can't cool down the truck enough after sitting in the hot sun, going to see if they have and earlier cancelation or we may have to reschedule breathing in that kind of heat just doesn't happen
