HOT

I had a Dr. apt. for follow up on labs all was well. I was supposed to get a chest xray but since they cut the hours it only made the place a crowded mess so I went on home and have canceled my apt with Pulmonogist since the Covid19 is out of control here Thanks to the morons in government and in this state.  I needed the xray for that apt.. Fred had an apt. with the vet yesterday for his shots but I was the only one in there and we were right out in 20min.

Other than that I haven't gone anywhere. I go out and walk the yard early in the morning and put fresh water out for the birds. It has gotten very hot again so I feel sorry for them.

Today was so hot that even though the cooler had been on all day the A/C kicked on it was just to hot for the cooler to keep up. But it was only on for a about 3hrs and then I was able to put the cooler back on and shut down the A/C.

I have been working on a baby blanket for another great grandchild #8. This one has been tough as I have never worked with such fine yarn before. This yarn is even thinner than baby yarn. I wonder if I will ever get it finished before he graduates high school.

Take care stay home if at all possible and be well.

Good Night All

  1. Oh I agree hot, hot, hot. Like you I go out early to get watering done if I failed to do it the evening before, take trash out, etc, etc. We had some clouds today that dropped a little rain this afternoon - a "cold" front heading southward! Getting a cataract removed on the 2nd and can't wait. My truck tent project is coming along and is fun to work with - in the early morning hours. And you heed your own advice about staying home.

    1. Hi Emily,
Nice to hear from you. Cataract surgery will make such a difference in your eye sight. Will you post pictures on your blog of the tent your making? Yes everything needs to be done in the early morning hours if it takes being outdoors. Take care and be well

  2. Hi Jo the only place I go where I may encounter others is the grocery store and the gas station..I wear my mask and I clean my hands as soon as Im back to my van. It rains nearly every afternoon so I don't have to water thank goodness...I took my dogs to the mobile vet that was a a hot mess!
I think until they make it mandatory the TRUMP people WILL not care if they are infecting people. It seems divided by party lines here who wears a mask and who doesn't. In the grocery store I saw people in there with 4 or 5 kids with them no masks on any of them...so I guess they just don't care!
stay cool and good luck with your baby blanket!

    1. Hi Sondra,

I won't go anywhere in this town. They are just now making wearing masks mandatory and now they are protesting about that since it is against their constitional rights. I wonder how they will react when they get Covid19. I'm sure it will be everyone elses fault and still blame the government for their plight and partly right on that note but plenty on their own part. trump is just a moron he said stop testing and then you won't know now many people are infected, then he swears he never said that is was on the TV MORON!!
Guess I'll do my bike ride and then get back to the blanket the shower is 7/25 I won't be going but my daughter can take it IF it's finished
take care and stay well and enjoy your rain we sure need some

  3. Poor Jim has had to go to stores to get things to fix the rv. He always goes masked and cleans his hands as soon as he gets back. I do the grocery shopping to keep him out of it. Nobody is wearing masks up here either. I did see a few at the grocery store but even the employees were wearing the masks hanging around their necks. We got up to 90 yesterday but had a nice breeze. Hope you can stay cool as much as possible and I know the birds thank you for the water.

    1. Hi Sandie,
I just don't understand the stupidy of people! It has been made mandatory here in Tucson but since I don't ge anywhere I don't know if everyone is doing it. The numbers here are growing so fast over night and still they don't care. It is going to be 107 today and will continue to be that high until Sunday when we get a cold front and only going to be 99 better get out my sweat pants LOL. You and Jim take care and stay well.

  4. The Medical buildings around here are limiting the number of people inside and prefer you have an appointment.
Be Safe and Enjoy the cooler temperatures inside.

    It's about time.

  5. Hi Rick and Kathy,

This medical building houses many Drs, and an imagining center so it is difficult but I think they need to have someone at the entrances to make sure these fools are wearing masks. One woman made it all the way to the waiting room of a few Drs. with out a mask they told her she needed to put one on and she refused and was told to leave, she stalked out of there like a lunatic. Guess she didn't want to mess her makeup or hair fool

  6. When possible, Doctors here have appointments by phone. For instance, today was Leoanrd's yearly check up with this CPAP doctor. (A young woman). It is required by Medicare to get his supplies.

Tomorrow we go to UAB. He is seeing a orthopedist (a young woman) regarding possible shoulder surgery. His left arm is useless.

Our family doctor is a young woman. The cardiologist he sees at UAB is a young woman. And last week he saw a neurologist, a young woman.

This old man is loving it.

  7. If I could have gotten in for the xray they could have done a phone apt.. Lots of women Drs. now I was seeing a woman Dr. the end of last year but changed ins. They didn't mention that she was part of the new plan so I changed. I really liked her.

  8. It has been hot here too. I need to go get my labs done in Mexico so I can take them to my new doctor (he is a P.A.) but with the huge surge of Coronavirus in the area as well as across the border I am not going anywhere!

Our local authorities have once again mandated masks and I am so glad they have done so. I saw this nurse on TV saying "if you do not like masks I can guarantee you wont like to be entubated"...that made a lot of sense to me but I doubt it would to those Trump followers.

  9. Hi MsBelinda,

Are they even allowing people to cross with as bad as this had gotten? If is wasn't all that long ago you had labs I wonder if they can just have them sent from the other Dr..

Why did they wait so long to make this order of masks. They started protest here about being made to wear a mask things are so out of hand in this country because of that MORON. His ads for his campaign are filled with the stupids lies ever. How he has fixed out economy, fixed unemployment! How ab out look how many died because he said there wasn't any virus.

I think I better go work on the blanket

    1. Americans can cross into Mexico if they have "essential business" to take care of in that country such as doctor or dental visits, lab work, buying medication, or other things that can not be put off...so I can cross without a problem.

Mexican citizens with American Visas face a much more scrutinized interrogatory when they attempt to cross the border into the USA and very few are allowed into our country.

The problem is that the lines to cross back to the USA are very long since they have fewer agents since the border is officially closed to "non-essential travel".

I took my new doctor my prior tests but it has been a while and I need new lab work to see how my cholesterol and glucose levels are doing. It will just have to wait.

We had the mask order but when the governor decided to open up the state he rescinded the face masks. Now that we are doing bad he has "allowed local authorities" to implement their use again so he won't look like the bad guy in Orange Agents' eyes.

  10. Did you get your freezer yet? Remember, if you have to lay it on its side, let it stand upright for 12 hours before you plug it in. Very important!

  11. Hi Phil,

No not yet, and yes I know. I'm sure it will fit upright in the truck if they ever get them in.
