Rain!

Yes we had some rain today. Just new it had to. It was cloudy when I woke up this morning. Rushed to get ready to go over to the coffee and donuts thing.
A friend and I drove around looking at dogs at some shelters. It is so sad to see so many unwanted dogs. And I guess part of the problem is they don't bother to get their pets fixed and then let them roam free and breed. The other part of this is they are very large dogs. They need lots of yard space and plenty of play time. Saw a dachshund at Animal Control, this guy was such a love and it sounds like his owners really don't care much about him. We shall see what happens after the 7 day hold is up.

As we headed back to the RV Park it was getting darker and the breeze was turning into more of a wind. I thought it was raining but when I went out to check it was the little things that turn into pine cones being blown off the trees. Then I heard it more but noticed rain drops on the window. It rained big drops for a few minutes and then harder for a little while longer. It made a few small puddles in the street. It wasn't much but its a start. Should get more tomorrow. If it rains a little each day it will help some.
Keeping my fingers crossed for more.
Hope every one is going well.

  1. I sure hope we get some rain here in the desert soon...it is so dry. P.S. I always take the battery out as a last resort...has saved me many computer repair bills..something about it seems to fix most everything.

  2. Rained here at 1:30am this morning and I had to rush to close the sun roof. You can have our wet summer!

  3. ain't for city gals,
I sure hope the desert gets some rains soon too. We sure need it all over this State.
I had never heard of the battery thing before, guess I am the last to know that one.:)

    Ash,
It would be great to be able to trade off our weather wouldn't it. The bad thing is with all the fires we will see lots of flooding once the monsoon hits.

Thank you both for stopping by hope you have a great day.

  4. I'm glad you finally started getting some rain!

I'm hoping that this tropical storm in the gulf brings a little rain in this direction!

    You take care, sweetie!

  5. Hi Jim,
I hope you just get the rain and not the storm. Starting to cloud up but slowly.
    Care my Special One.
