I Couldn't Believe It

It was so cold last night I had to get up and turn the heater up high.
When I took Fred out this morning he wasn't quite sure he wanted out. It was freezing. And then I spotted this

The water in the hose was frozen solid and I had let the water drip but it did no good. By 8:30 it all started to defrost and by 9 I had water. The day warmed up and it sure was a beautiful day.

We took the dogs to the dogie park and just hung out and talked and played ball with the dogs.

Later we BBQ and we all brought something  to the table. But once the sun starts to go down it sure gets cold fast and we had to move into Terry's trailer to finish our meal.
Tomorrow its time to pull out. I was going to stay another day but the wind is coming back so I think I will pull out .

thank you for coming but yes it was pretty.

    Hi Teri,

The day warmed up really nice.Last night wasn't as cold and there is no ice on the trees this morning. As I sit here this morning I am still not sure I want to leave. But they are talking about more wind. But I may stay another day.
    Thanks for stopping by today.

    Hello Michael,

Thats funny. I have tried to comment on your blog and it just doesn't come up for me. wanted to wish you luck on the lookers.

    Hi John,
    That sure was a shock.
Thanks for coming over for a read.

    Hey Cyn,
Pipes were OK. I always carry a few gallons of water with me and also bottled water for the fridge so it really isn't a big problem.
    glad you stopped by Thanks

  7. Oh - ice on the trees. We actually had to turn on the A/C last night. So humid. When we were in NM last winter, had the same thing happen. Froze up in morning but by 9 or so all was fine.

Safe travels to your next destination.

  9. JoJo, it looks like the ice storm we had in Kentucky a few years ago. But we were without electric for 7 days, and thotoughly enjoyed the adventure. We did have a generator to keep the freezer and fridge going though. Sure makes for pretty scenery.

  10. Hello Phyllis,
That ice was caused by the watering system but you know it had to be cold to cause that ice and the frozen water hose. But yes the day turned beautiful.

    Thanks for visiting me today.

    Hey Trouble,
It is always over to fast.

    Hi Sunny,

Have you left for PA. yet?
7 days in the freezing cold wouldn't have been so much fun if you didn't have that nice wood burning stove and a genny, I bet. I guess that is an adventure. Another special memory for you.
    Thanks for stopping by.

Debbie you have no adventure in your life. LOL

  11. Some of our most memorable camping trips involve lousy weather.
It is very very windy here in Desert Hot Springs as well, but at least it is not freezing here !!
    Take care ... TnT
