New Pictures

It was another beautiful day here in Lakeside. So Fred and I went to check out Woodland Lake and surrounding areas. There were lots of people in the park having fun, some walking around the lake and some fishing. A man said the fish weren't biting this winter and they still aren't. But trying they were anyway.
Last fall when I left the water had receded beyond the dock. I toll this picture from the other side of the lake

It doesn't show in up in this shot but this tree had been struck by lightening

I was surprised to see these 3 Double -crested Cormorant's sitting in this tree

Folks fishing off the dock that was not in the water last fall. It was more a large puddle of water then.

I stuck the camera lens through the chain link fence and he turned and looked at me . This was in the meadow outside the RV Park.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed being out there taking them. I have more but will maybe post them tomorrow.

  2. Good to see the lake has water this year and I'm impressed that you could name the birds, they would just be black birds if I described them.

    Hi John,

I could name the bird because I have A Field Guide to Woodland Lake. :) I hope to see another Bald Eagle some day.

    Thank you for the visit
