Black Out

Last night just as I finished my post everything went dark. There was a huge power outage from
Show Low to Pinetop. Lost power for about an hour or so. Of course that also included WiFi.
3 years ago I bought 2 of those touch light things that run on batteries and they have save me quite a few times since. I
played a few games of spider waiting to see if the lights would come back on but now such luck. So off I went to bed and used a
flash light to read. I have a few of those lights that clip onto
a book but of course they are all in Tucson. But it wasn't long before I started to fall asleep and as I closed the book the lights came on.

Today went to one of the first Basha's in AZ I believe. This
store opened in 1954 and is called Eddies which is Basha's
first name. It was very interesting. They have all those barrels
with the scoops for dried fruits, nuts and candy. I was very
surprised that the prices were quite good.  Other than that the day was quiet and the temps lower.

Tomorrow is Wally  world day. Lots to buy.
Hope you all have a great Sunday.

  2. I can get carried away in those stores with all of the fruits and candies. I have to head out to Wally World tomorrow, too. I think we need to buy stock in WW.

  4. Hi John,
With list I have I will probably drop when the total comes up.
Have a great day and thanks for coming.

    Hello Teri,

I had to drag myself away from those bins. The problem with most of the dried fruit was they had tons of sugar on them.
Stock would be a good idea.
Thanks for coming over for a read.

    Hi Jill,
I don't know if they have Dollar Tree stores where you are but that is where I bought 2 of them. And I have had them for a long time and they still work. The other one came with an order I made on line for something. They are really great little lights.
Thank you for stopping by today.

  5. Gonna be a lot of power outages this year, I think! All we can do is make the best of it and carry on!

Careful at Wally World! Crazy folks have been known to hang out there!

  6. Hi Jim,
Yes that's why I went so early.
Power outages don't really bother me to much. Unless of course when its so hot you can perk up some coffee on the black top. :)
