Yesterday and Today

Couldn’t post last night was having trouble with the computer.

So I will start with what went on yesterday besides nothing much.
It rained all day and was a little chilly.

I went to the post office to mail some cards. When I got back in the car
there was still a card there, so I guess I threw something in the box that
was lying on the seat. Oh well. When I came back it was time for lunch.
As I was making my sandwich Liz showed up so I made her one too.
After lunch we got on the computer to look up some RV Parks near or
around Canyon De Chelley. We couldn’t believe that there are only 2.
So I guess she will be pretty much boon docking since they are not full
service parks. You can fill up with water and there are dump stations. If she
only stays a few days she will be fine.

We were talking about how I want to get a van so I can go camping and
someone else who showed up thought that was the stupidest thing they
ever heard. What is wrong with people anyway? Just because I have a place
here in the mountains I should be happy enough to just sit and do nothing
else. I guess it is just ignorance on their part. Some people are so closed
minded it’s sad. I will never let anyone lead me to change my mind about
how I want to live my life. I know most of you that read my blog will agree
to what I want to do.

August 22, 2012

Woke up to more rain and pretty chilly.

I first put on some capris and a t-shirt to go to lunch. It wasn’t long before
I changed into a sweat shirt and jeans.
It continued to rain as I went to pick up Jackie and Annette. We had a great
lunch at Darby’s. Then I brought them back to my place as Annette has
never seen it before. We sat and talked for about an hour about past trips
and the preferred places were we liked to be.

As I was coming down the driveway I spotted something I hadn’t noticed   At first I thought it might be and Elk because of its size.
But as I used the telephoto lens and took the pictures I could see it was a
very large deer. I drove further into the other end of the park to get more
pics.  When I drove into my area and walked over to the rear fence one of
the neighbors told me there was a baby out there but it was hard to see
because the grass was so high. But once in a while he could see it jump
through the weeds to its mom.

It seems to have stopped raining finally and Fred and I took a walk. When
we got home I changed into a t-shirt as it also warmed up a little.
As I turned on the computer a Humming Bird flew up to the screen door
and got its beak stuck. I walked slowly over to try and help but he finally
got free.

Shortly after I wrote the last part of the above about the t-shirt I was back
in sweats. The weather for tomorrow is more rain.

I will keep my eye open for them again tomorrow.

Right now I think hot chocolate is in order.
And I have no idea why I have double spaces.

Good Night All

  1. Rather presumptuous of someone to think they know what's best for you. Trying to make others choices is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

  3. Drive whatever you want, go wherever you want. Our weather has been like that, too. Dressing in layers. My blog formatting has changed the font sizes on me, too.

  4. Good Morning John,
Yes really presumptuous. Maybe that comes from the inability to not dream of adventure.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping.

    Hi Carolyn,
    Glad you enjoyed it.

    Hello Teri,

I knew my readers would understand. I had to turn on the little fire place this morning. It is really raining with lightening and thunder this morning. We may float away. I wish blogger would leave things be. I have to always go in and do a large font. Wish it would stay there.

Thanks for stopping by for a read.

  5. You have to change the font settings in settings, template designer, advanced. That changed them permanently.

  6. Wow, it's hard to believe it's cold enough anywhere for hot chocolate & sweats. We're having a/c problems here. Two different ones are being serviced, so my portable is still being used elsewhere & I still have no a/c for the RV :-(
Can't use my roof air where I am now.
Yes, it's your life, live it fully in the way you want to live it in!! I think you've done a fine job so far :-)

  7. Hello Trouble,
Thanks I will look into that.

Glad you stopped by today. Thanks again

    Hi Cyn,
Yes it is strange this weather we are having. Usually by now the weather is really nice and the rains are gone. This year it has rained so much. We are thankful for it as we have had no fire danger here for most of the summer. But now its getting old.
I will live my life my way always. There is way to much to see and do yet.

I hope your a/c problems get fixed soon. You sure have had your share of expense this summer.
Thanks for stopping in for a read.

  8. Hi Jojo! Nice post! I agree with Shoeless Joe and your response to his comment. Some days I have trouble letting my family know I ain't dead yet, either. but for the most part they are pretty good after the initial, "what you want to do that for??" or just plain "oh...". You'll find the right vehicle for "your" purposes and more power to you!

  9. Hi Sunny,
And this wasn't even family. My kids know I will do what ever makes me happy. These are people who have no business minding mine. I guess that's because they have no life of their own.

Sure glad you stopped by today.
