Away We Went

I was planning on going to crochet class today but Lucy called. She read on the blog I was
trying to put things up in the shed and was heading to town. I told her come on over and
we would check things out as I felt they are way to heavy. We found the light weight stuff
and I handed up to her. Got a lot put up there. Now I can clean it up more it is filthy in
there.
Thank you Lucy!  Lucy was also needed to find an office and said twice before but just
couldn't. I said well I'm not doing anything lets go. And away we went. It was clear on the
east side of town. Lucy spotted  the building way before I ever did.

Since we were already that far we decided to go to a few stores there. We hit the Dollar
Tree where things are really only dollar. I picked up 3 pr.  new reading glass', waste
baskets. We then went to the Good Will Store right there and Lucy found a beautiful
stained glass that was in perfect condition. So I course I bought it I mean for $6. how
could I not. I forgot to take a picture so I will do that tomorrow. After that we went to
Trader Joe's. Most people know them for their great wine collection. But they sell foods
that you can't find in most grocery stores. I picked  up a great eggplant, spaghetti squash,
zucchini,  a sweet onion and a red. Yes you can buy those items in most grocery stores
but these were just beautiful and the price was really good too. Also found some organic
fat free yogurt that was cheaper than the Walmart brand.

By know we were pretty hungry so we headed back towards home and Happy Days
Restaurant. Had great salads and then headed home.

It was a great day.

Good Night All

  1. Those stores are just like magnets, you get close and they just drag you in. Good shopping.

  2. I've never been to a Trader Joe's but it sounds like my kind of place.

  3. Good morning John,
I know but they are fun and for people that are on a low income they are great places to buy cleaning and food supplies. This one didn't have the frozen or cold foods like others do.
    Thank you for being here.

    Hello Phyllis,

Trader Joe's is such a great place to find those odd items. But for me they are way to far to make much use of. I believe there are 2 stores in town and that is not enough. I have written a request but I know not much will come of it.

Hope things are going better in your new location.
And thank you for the visit.
