Yup It's Cold Out There

True to the weather reports its cold. It stayed in the 40's
today. My sister wanted to go to Sam Levitz for a bed frame
so we bundled up and took off. Of course I needed to stop
and get gas. I should have done that last week when it was
down to 2.75 but oh no I had to wait until it was back up to
2.85. That's me. And it sure was cold standing there too.
I was hoping to be 2 chairs to match my set but they don't
carry them anymore.

We came right back home when she was done. Still had
things to do to prepare for the cold night coming. I covered
my saguaro and golden barrel that had the nerve to get me
good. I made some wraps for the humming bird feeders.
Don't know if they will do any good. If not tomorrow I will
bring them in when it gets dark and get them out as soon as possible in the morning, they will need that sugar in their
little bodies as soon as possible to survive the cold.

Getting all they can before it gets dark and really cold.

Good Night All

  1. That barrel should behave itself. Once you get to crocheting nothing is safe. Did you crochet anything for the cacti? Just kidding.

  2. I can't believe you still have Humming birds this time of year. I'll have to go read up on them again, I thought they went to South America for the winter. They are so much fun to watch.

  3. Very interested to hear if you ever see Little Green again. I am guessing that it is way too cold for him to survive outside.

Glad to see you feeding the hummers. Our last ones leave here in early October.

  4. Good morning John,
I get no respect, I tell ya. Had to run out after dark to cover the last feeder and I hope it worked. No crocheting for the cacti haha.

    Hello Jan,
Welcome to my blog, I sure enjoyed going to the begining and to date of yours.

Thes Hummers stay all year long here. I believe they are Anna's, I tried to take a picture yesterday but the wind was blowing so hard they all came out blurred while he was sitting on a wind chime and his red throat would just shine.

    Hello tineycamper,
I have seen her almost every day now but I sure hope she made it throgh last night. I haven't opened the blinds yet trying to keep out the cold.

Thank you all for stopping by today

  6. Hi Jo,

My neighbor's Molly is black and cinnamon, such a sweet dog. She always wants to come to our house for a "visit" although our cats are not welcoming so she has to stay outside for the duration.

How did the hummingbird feeder cover work out? We got down to 15 so I may cut a sock up and put on them. Brrr. No yarn or hooks yet.

  7. Anon,
I have posted before about comments from people selling crap I do not welcome you to my sight with your false statments about my wonderful writing and false praise.

    Hello JMD,

I just love Doxie breed. Some are awfull barkers if not corrected when they are pups. But Fred is a peach. He well behaved and smart as a whip. And just loves being told what a good boy he is.

Don't bother cutting up socks it didn't work and tonight I will bring the feeders in and get them out as soon as possible in the morning.

Thank you for stopping in JMD
