No Morning Coffee Again!

This morning was a little chillier than the past few mornings. But we are headed for a down swing in the next few days.

I had to get blood work done so it meant fasting. Of course that meant no coffee either. They always have trouble getting my veins to comply so I had to drink lots of water before I got there. I got out my thermal travel cup last night and put it in front of the coffee maker.  I drank 16 oz. of water. I put some really hot water in the mug and took a shower. The mug was nice and warm and I poured in the coffee, put the cup in a bottle holder to keep it nice and hot. Off I went to do the blood work, while drinking more water. When I came out I grabbed that cup and boy did that taste good. It was like a dying man in a two day desert hike without water in 120 degrees.

Next stop was for the chest x ray, then on to Safeway to buy stamps and off to Walgreen's to fill a script for nasal spray. By time  I got back home it was noon. And more than ready for breakfast or was that lunch?  Or do you call it brunch?  Anyway had some food and the left over coffee. That made the day just right.

Fred and I headed out for a nice walk. The winds started to really pick up and continued to build but the warmth stayed.

I'm glad I got everything done so if it rains tomorrow that will be fine with me. I can read a book, finish the lap robe and maybe start a new one. It has been a busy week so just hanging out will be just fine with  me.

Good Night All

  3. Good morning John,
It was and I was tired. But happy it's done and over with until next year.

    Hi Phyllis,
I started doing the coffee waiting for me a few years ago when I was having surgery and had to alway be having blood work done pre surgery. Works great.

Thank you both for stopping in for a read.

  6. My doc told me I could have my coffee, just no creamer. Maybe no sweet n low either, but I have to sneak a bit of that in.
