Awning Opened

Today was windy and chilly. But we decided to open the awning anyway. Had some trouble with the release clip. But Lucy got it to open. It  was wet and has some mold on it. I think I will look into cleaning it up. Also may need another set of flapper controllers. But
for now it's holding just fine and it sure was windy at times.

Steve said people will start showing up this weekend. A couple came in Monday but left today to go to Texas but will return. Very nice couple. They got Fred's approval.

After moving into the new space the slide was opened to make sure
there was sewer clearance. This was Monday about 7:45am

For some reason we couldn't get the awning tight enough. It may be time for a new one or at least by next summer. There are still a few things that need to be moved and  some flowers transplanted.

Plenty tired again tonight but it has been great exercise.

Good Night All

  3. Looking good. Somebody that knows what they are doing can probably tighten the awning spring. It works just like a window shade and the spring just looses tension over time.

  5. Good morning Carolyn,

    Glad you like it.

    Hello klbexplores,

I think so too, makes it a happy place.

    Hi John,
I have a guy coming next week to look at the hot water hearter, he does RV work so i will have him check it out. I know I need a new one but was hoping to wait until next year. Maybe not.

    Hi Sheryl,
I do love it here for the summer. If you come up send me a note maybe we can meet up.

  6. So glad you finally were able to escape Tucson.

It is already starting to look nice and homey with the flowers.

  8. Everything looks so comfy now. A tip: Slant your awning somewhat so rain & dew can run off of it. You don't want that to pool or it can destroy your awning.

  9. We are thinking manual awnings have a clear benefit. Ours is electric and not as easy to slant. Also it tends to flap easier. How nice your site looks now.

  10. Hi Cyn,
Yes I know about slanting the awning. But it really is old and is sagging anyway no matter how tight we pulled it. Guess its time for a new one. Have someone coming on Monday.

    Hello Phyllis,

If that is the only problem with electric awning I have to say I might like the electric.
