This was such a horrible tragedy! What a horrible loss for the families of these brave young men. R.I.P.
We had a little bit more rain today but it is not nearly enough. I hope we get more as the days pass.
Didn't do anything much today. When I took Fred on first outs I noticed there was a pool of water in the awning. Great! I thought it had enough of a slant but no. So I took down the hanging plant to lesson the weight. Well that water sure made that thing heavy and I got soaked. No telling what was all in that water so I came in and jumped right in the shower.
And that was the big deal of today until it cooled down around 5:30 pm.

ReplyDeleteIt is a terrible loss of life. Really makes me hope that the fund they have started to assist the families of these men keeps growing. I did read this morning it was at $121K but perhaps it will continue to help with their final expenses.
Yesterday the smoke from the fire was so thick we could not see the Mingus Mountain in back of us nor the mesas out front. Just a thick grey cloud all over.

I remember when we had the big fire here how hard it is to breath. Just try to stay indoors with the a/c running hope we get lots of rain that is lightening free.
The fire is such a tragedy and the loss of lives make it even more so.
