Stripped down the rest of the bed and vacuumed out the camper and the front of the truck. Put stuff up in the shed until I finish the insulation which I will start on tomorrow.
Wednesday;
We took a ride to Alpine, AZ. to have lunch with 2 other ladies. We ate out on the patio so Fred could stay with us. Fred was even given a treat from the waitress. The ride was so awesome as I had never been there before. So many little streams everywhere. Lots of reds from the ferns that are now doing the fall die back. The wind was blowing something fierce and all the lakes looked like mini oceans with the waves and white caps.
There was way to much flash color from the car since the windows where not open due to the wind. But you can see the white caps
I sure hope they improve the sign with all the remodeling they are planning over the winter.
The food was great and the service was really wonderful
The lunch bunch
This was one of the towns hardest hit by the Wallow Fire. So much forest lost and lots of homes. But still so many beautiful trees and homes left some where very fortunate.
Good Night All
g'night .. sounds like a good time ... always is with good pals and good food! what else is there ... oh, pretty views ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice little get away. And you're right, being retired allows one to work at their speedl
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your photos, especially the red fern. That's something I have not seen in person.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a good time at lunch. :)
Hello Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYes good friends and good food always makes a fun day. And then add breath taking views. aaahhh
Good morning John,
There is so much more to see in this State. With my ready set go toy I hope to see lots more. And at my own speed.
Hello Sharon,
The red ferns are just beautiful. I wish we would have stopped to get up closer and not speeding by. Lunch out there on the patio with all those views was the perfect setting for enjoying the day.
Great pictures, looks like you had a great time. :)
ReplyDeleteI see that John Wayne joined you for lunch.
ReplyDeleteHi Erik,
ReplyDeleteI did I would have loved to be able to stay longer to finish watching the leaves change but it was just to cold at night.
Hi Judy,
Yes but he was a little on the stiff side.
There is so much to do after a trip, but being retired means you can do it when you feel like it. I've been mentally emptying my car for when I get back, but I still have a long way to go.
ReplyDeleteYes more work when you get home I think than when I left. I guess the anticipation of going that makes it easier. :)
