What a Storm

I couldn't even leave the windows and door open this morning. The humidity was awful.

I dropped off the rest of the donations this morning and came home. I wasn't in the mood to do much of anything. Sure glad I finished the shed yesterday. The only other things I did outside besides quick walks with Fred was to put my Route 66 plate on the truck. Not sure they are the right screws hope I don't lose it.

Stripped down the bed, washed the those sheets and put on a new set. Worked on a lap robe for a little while.
I kept hearing load noises I checked outside when I looked over to the south east I saw lightening and very dark sky. With in a few minutes a storm blew in and dropped lots of rain and winds that sounded like the hurricanes of my youth in NJ. It lasted about 20 minutes. And the humidity was even worse which wasn't good since the power went out. Just when it was getting really nasty in the house it came back on.

Around 6 pm. Fred and I went for a long walk since we didn't get much else today. By time we came back he was panting and I ran an took a shower. They claim we were done with this weather last week. HEY GUYS! can I get a job like yours I don't know anything either.

Good Night All

  1. Wouldn't that be great to have a job where you could be wrong most of the time and still keep your job.

  4. Good morning John,

That would be so great I'd even go back to work for that job. Nice money.

    Hi Jim my friend,

This was a doosey I can tell ya. And the humidity was about 99% on top of the 100 degree temp.

    Hi Lucy,

Leaving on the 20th will give me more time to get set up. What did you do to the truck? I guess it will be good and cold at night but the days should be perfect.

  5. Sorry to hear your summer is unbearable too. Here in the Deep South we are suffering through what has to be record humidity. It was 70% early yesterday AM. September is just as bad as July. Looking forward to a nice fall and some roadtrip camping!

  7. We are still getting way too much rain, along with frequent thunderstorms, too. Our yard is like mush and the ground smells like mildew.

Hope fall blows some of this wetness somewhere else!

So glad your power wasn't out long!
